Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I can pick this up on July 16 and deliver on July 17 for target price. It will be on a flatbed trailer, properly secured. Would need to know soon. Thanks. GZ TOP. (7/6/2006)
Response:
GZ: Your uShip profile indicates that you "only ship motorcycles in enclosed containers", but your email says a flatbed. Which is it? The 16th/17th looks good to give me time to consumate the deal. I think we can work something out... -Mark (7/6/2006)
Question:
I am taking a boat to Texas and will not have my enclosed trailer with me. I will have a flatbed. I just booked the boat just prior to your ad or else I would be going with an enclosed trailer. Thanks. GZ TOP. (7/6/2006)
Response:
Since uShip does not consider this a "bid", how do we consumate our deal? (7/6/2006)
Question:
By the way, I am picking up the boat in Tahoe, so your bike will not be on the trailer with it. GZ TOP. (7/6/2006)
Response:
Ok, sounds like the cycle will help pay for fuel to Tahoe, and I get the cycle shipped for a reasonable price! Win-win for both of us. I'm game. How do you want to be paid? Cash on delivery? What if there's some delay in sealing the cycle deal and he's not ready to release it on the 16th? Although that's very unlikely, I have to consider all possibilities. My concerns: - insurance in case something happens to it while in your possession. - making sure it's secured well - some kind of cover to protect it from getting hit by pebbles. Perhaps NOT putting it directly behind the truck wheels. Thx for your timely responses... -Mark (7/6/2006)
Question:
If its ok, I will formally bid tomorrow. I may be having a modification done to my trailer, and I want to make sure that my bid and the work on the trailer coinside. My bid will be for $180, picked up in GP and delivered to you in Reno. What would be the latest that I can deliver to you in Reno on the 16th? Or the earliest on the 17th? I really need to be in Tahoe by 7:30 or so. Thanks. GZ TOP..... By the way, when I bid, and if you accept, then U-Ship gives us both contact information and we can deal directly at that point. (7/7/2006)
Response:
Are you insured? I assume that you have no "hidden" charges, no surprises? Ok then, $180 it is. It can be as late as 11pm on the 16th, certainly before midnight. Or as early as 6am on the 17th. If you're picking up the boat on North-shore of Tahoe, that's within 45 minutes (Incline Village) of my house and 70 minutes if its over on the North-West side. (7/7/2006)
Question:
There are no hidden charges. I will e-mail you an estimate otulining what we agreed to on this site. As for insurance, any carrier or transporter who has DOT authority or a MC number is required by the feds to carry liability insurance and cargo insurance. I have both numbers being processed right now. GZ TOP. (7/7/2006)
Question:
Hello, GZ TOP here. I am getting a modification to my trailer done and it will be completed this coming Wednesday. I will bid after I see the trailer when it is completed. In the meantime, if you get a good offer, feel free to accept it. I will keep monitoring your site for results. I will let you know either way after I see the results of the modification. Thanks. GZ TOP. (7/7/2006)
Response:
I've got one bid so far, but not quite as good as yours. I'm just concerned that if I wait til Wed, this other bid may run out of room on his vehicle. What are the chances that you will be able to do it? (7/7/2006)
Question:
Can someone be there to help me roll it onto my flatbed? If so, I will bid right now. GZTOP. (7/8/2006)
Response:
I just spoke with Ron, and he uses a forklift to load and unload all the bikes he buys/sells. He is a dealer... and he said that he would help to get it loaded onto your flatbed. (7/8/2006)
Question:
OK, just one more thing. I need to pick this up very early on the 17th or if possible, late in the evening of the 16th. I have a very time sensetive pick up on the boat in Tahoe. Get to Ron and ask him how flexible heis on working within that timeframe. The bid will be for $180 cash at delivery. Thanks. GZ TOP. (7/8/2006)
Response:
Loading it onto the flatbed is no prob; getting it off might be. HOW HIGH IS THE FLATBED FROM THE GROUND? My brother has a 1500lb capacity cherry-picker that we might be able to use to get it off the flatbed. It depends on how high it is. Let me know what the height of the bed is. ============ Ron is only open til noon on Sat., so I'll have to talk to him on Monday morning. Could you make it there during business hours on the 14th or 15th? Or are you not going to be in Grants Pass by 5pm on the 16th (Sat)? Why don't you call him to see if he's willing to schedule a time after business hours - (541)472-8823. Do you have a cell phone that will work when you're 30 minutes from GP? That way you could call him so he knows when you're going to arrive, and if there are any delays. Got any other options? (7/8/2006)
Question:
The trailer is only 18" or so off of the ground. I have ramps and everything to unload, so no problem. I am also having a 2' beavertail done this week. I am not worried about unloading. I'll tell you what, I will bid and then we can work out the details if you accept. By the way, the 16th is Sunday. I work at the local Harley dealership and will be working until 4 that afternoon. That is why I would be ona somewhat strict time schedule, but that shouldnt be your worry. Once I make the committment, it is my responsibility to live up to it. Here is your bid. Thanks. GZ TOP.
