Question: Hello, would you be interested in having this vehicle driven for delivery? If it is roadworthy, insured, and has a license plate or temporary tag, I could drive it for you to Jacksonville NC for $640 all-inclusive. Expected transit time is 3 days. Presently I can schedule the pickup around September 10 to 11. Please let me know if you have any questions and whether I should submit a bid. Thanks, Eric (9/9/2008)

Response: Yes, the car has 20,00 miles and in excellent shape; it is fully insured and licensed. Can you tell us what documentation you provide showing the car is in your possession. When is payment made? In what form? Do you have references? thank you! (9/9/2008)

Response: Hello, thank you for the reply. I require a contract between myself and the vehicle owner, describing the job, insurance, contingency procedures, and payment terms. This would document the terms and duration of my taking possession of the car. I customarily take a downpayment through Paypal of about $100.00, and the balance on delivery via cash or Paypal. Hopefully the feedback on my profile at http://www.uship.com/profile/EEH2/ is sufficient for references; if not, I can put you in touch with some former clients, but by uShip rules this would have to be after you accept my bid. About the timing: I have started another trip since I wrote to you, so the best I can offer now is Saturday September 13 or possibly Friday the 12th if things go quickly. I saw you got an offer to drive it for $500; I can drop to $595 to compete with this. Thanks, Eric (9/10/2008)

Response: Hi! thanks so much for getting back with us. I forwarded the email to my husband in case he has further questions. We're very interested. If Friday, could you come in the morning? Hopefully the Hurricane won't arrive instead! (9/10/2008)

Response: Hello, if all goes well I could arrive in downtown Houston around 6 am on Friday and hopefully get to Kingwood or at least the Bush airport by public transit by 7 am. A little help with the last leg of the trip would go a long way. I will place my bid for pickup by Saturday, and if the bid needs adjusting or you have questions please let me know. Thanks, Eric (9/10/2008)

Response: We're very close to Bush airport and could easily meet you there on Friday around 7am. We're concerned that if the hurricane seems to track towards Houston, the roads will be full of people evacuating and could get you stuck in traffic. We'll get back to you in the morning when we have a better picture of what the weather report is. Thanks for staying in close touch! (9/10/2008)

Response: Hello, it looks like a quick pickup before Ike will be impossible, given that Greyhound is no longer going to Houston. What time frame do you have in mind for a later pickup? Thanks, Eric (9/11/2008)

Question: Hello, I will go ahead and place a bid with flexible pickup dates. If you are comfortable with accepting it, that would allow us to communicate directly. I am expecting to deliver another car to Mobile AL within about a week, and your pickup near Houston would fit well after that. Thanks, Eric (9/11/2008)

Response: So happy to hear from you!
We're ready! We have cash to give you; wouold that be OK? OUr son, JOhn is a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune. When we thought we would be shipping the car by transport we put down the Swansboro address, since it is on the highway. They live back in a neighborhood with very narrow streets. We would like to have you drive the car directly to their home. We hope
that will be fine with you. We will most likely lose power during the hurricane. Let us know when we can give you our phone number. Thank you! (9/12/2008)
