Additional Information: This is an older car with plenty of mileage. We would like it to be shipped to Buffalo, NY. We would like to meet you there at a public lot, perhaps a mall or airport parking lot, on the delivery date. The ideal shipper will provide comprehensive details, discuss any foreseen complications/taxes/fees, and be accurate in their pricing/quote (no hidden fees!). Courtesy and good communication a must, we will give it back in return.

Response: I'm definitely still considering options on how to transport the Kia. For driving, would you be able to guess how much mileage it might clock getting from Tacoma, WA to Buffalo, NY? Also, I read on the reviews that some folks kept belongings in the car for transport. I do have baby equipment and some small appliances I wouldn't mind bringing. Does that affect the quote? Response: Its a 2,600 mile trip at about 23mpg. You can load the car with personal items up to 400lbs. as long as the driver seat can go back leaving the passenger seat clear. I would need to have your decision by Friday. Thank you. (6/9/2009)

Question: Hey Shipper Was just curious if price or speed of delivery were your biggest concerns, I monitor all the trucks traversing over your route, so I can always identify who has what truck space and even how much their other loads are paying. Hopefully getting a driver to take your load at the lowest price; That takes a bit of flexibility on your end (but still a very reasonable time frame for delivery), or we can identify a price that would move the car more quickly. Response: I would like the car to arrive in less than a month, so the timeframe is a bit important. As for price, I'm flexible, but going over $1800 is stretching my budget a bit. (9/8/2009)

Response: If driving the car ("driveaway") is an option, I can do this for $600. The delivery date is negotiable, but closer to the end of the month is better. Also, I saw in a previous question that you asked about keeping some things in the car. Response: Hi Benjamin, so sorry for the delays in my responses. My husband and I keep going back and forth and I figure I'll delete the post at some point until we figure something out. So far we're still thinking end of August to go home. We haven't ruled out any options yet for moving the car, so hopefully we can contact you if we go the driving method! :) PS: We actually live in Ontario, Canada and I have another car there. If we had you drive it to Buffalo, would it be possible to meet in person somewhere to pick it up? (7/9/2009)

Response: I would actually prefer to drop off the car in person. It gives both of us the piece of mind that the car is safe and sound. Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, you should know that I am seeking other jobs for this time period, and if one of those comes through, I won't be able to do this one anymore. If you decide that you'd like me to drive the car, I'll (naturally) stop pursuing the other options immediately, but there's no guarantee as to how much longer I'll be available. All the best, Ben. There are advantages to the driving option (like having some of our baby's stuff transferred) that we like.
