Question: Hello, please see profile. I am in Houston all the time and would like to do this job. $1,000 isn't enough though, with diesel being $4.10 a gallon, wear and tear on brand new equipment, 2 days of solid driving, insurance, enclosed, etc...,and you want it ASAP to boot. I mean you want a lot for very little, for a exotic car of this caliber. That's probably why you are having trouble getting bids also. I've hauled this car before, and I know a major car carrier won't touch for under $2,000.00 right now. I'll do for $1,500.00. That is a $1.00 a mile which is stupid low right now, most people are at $1.60 to $1.75, especially for a car of this nature. (3/9/2008)
