Questions for this shipment:

Question: I could drive it for you for $500 plus you pay fuel, leave Saturday be there Monday. Retired military, over 900 positives on ebay.Bobeubanks (5/16/2006)
Response: Bob, I talked to the owner in Mo and he thought driving it was a better idea than putting it on a hauler where fluids and dirt from the other vehicals could contaminate it. Have you done this sort of thing before and are you insured and bonded? I have no experiance with this sort of thing and, really, don't know what questions I should be asking I'm going on trust and the fact that your retired military means a lot to me. The price seems fine. Would I pay you for the fuel when you got here? I really don't know. Are there any other charges or is it the $500 and fuel? I look forward to your response. Many Thanks, Jim (5/16/2006)
Question: Jim, I'm not being disrepctful to anyone involved but I've hauled cars for over 20 yrs. and the military doesn't haul alot of cars. Moving a car on a regular car carrier rarely causes fluid damage. I can give you a competive bid on a single car open trailer for $900 all inclusive, no fuel cost or mileage on put on your vehicle. If this works for you I can bid another vehicle, making it work out for all involved, Look forward to hearing from you. KevinGRyba w/ NuCar Carriers (5/17/2006)
Response: Kevin, The fellow that I bought the truck from was talking about a large open multiple car hauler and the damage that might be done when one car leaked on another. I gather your talking about a single car trailer? If this is true it's a whole different thing and I believe the vehicle would be safer. Let me know what we're talking about. I've never shipped a single vehicle so this whole process is new to me. My main concern is getting the vehicle here safely and in the same condition it is in now in Mo. Thanks, Jim (5/17/2006)
Question: Hello, I would like the opportunity to take this to CT. I will going in that direction early next week. Check my profile: FiveStarLLC. Thank you (5/17/2006)
Response: Sid, What would your total cost to ship be and what is your time frame like. Is your service door to door? Like I've said in answers to other questions this process is totally new to me. My main concern is that the vehicle arrives safely and reliably. Thanks, Jim (5/17/2006)
Question: Here comes your honest answer. The VERY best method is inside a closed trailer. Closed trailers make the towing vehicle consume more fuel, so generally cost more to move. An open trailer provides no more protection than being driven,. The driver of the towed vehicle is just as subject to a wreck as the driver of your vehicle would be. Generally, the towing vehicle insurance will also cover his cargo, but sometimes there is debate on that. I have driven thousands of miles, in several countries, and all size vehicles. I am safe. $500 for me, plus actual fuel tickets, after you see the vehicle is fine. Be leary of those who want front money. bobeubanks (5/17/2006)
Question: I'm going to need an answer before noon on Thursday the 18th. bobeubanks (5/17/2006)
Question: My bid is $800.00 door to door. I pay all fuel and toll charges. Don't have someone put miles on a vehicle when it really isn't necessary. Check out my profile at FiveStarLLC I would appreciate your business. Thank You Note: I have an expired date and time Thursday at 11:00pm so I can finalize my trip Friday. (5/17/2006)
