Brian are your dates set in stone could they be the 6th and 7th if neededReport a Violation
Response: 5th and 6th are ideal but I could potentially make that work. 6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: i only ask as i am delivering a boat to MI on the 3rd or 4th so i can try and meet your dates perfectly but possible i would need to bump them up a day. Did you have a budget you are looking to meet for this move. I am fully licensed and insured and safer watch verified 6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: I believe that we can make those dates work. I just need to know for sure which days because I need to arrange to be there those days.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: Brian is pick up on the 4th a option and can we drop off same day as pickup weather it be the 4th or 5th6/27/2014Report a Violation
Response: yes the 4th is an option.6/27/2014Report a Violation
Question:

Are there not marine lifts at pick up and delivery sites?Report a Violation
Response: There is a marine lift at the pick up but not delivery. If you are using a flatbed, the destination marina has a forklift that can lift it off. I guess that all depends on how it is cribbed on the trailer. There is a marine lift at the pick up but not delivery. Response: A marine lift on the front and a forklift on the back would work.6/24/2014Report a Violation

Response: Great. Thanks I confirmed with Boardwalk Marina that as long as the boat is cribed on the trailer, they can offload with their forklift.6/24/2014Report a Violation

7/5? Are you trying to get this picked up right in the middle of the 4th of July holiday?Report a Violation
Response: I really couldnt do it before the 4th...6/24/2014Report a Violation

Question:
6/24/2014
Could it move any sooner so it doesn't conflict with the holiday?Report a Violation
Response: I really couldnt do it before the 4th because I am in Mississippi and need to go to Chattanooga to prep the boat for transport. Looking at my calendar, if all went right, I could potentially do a pick up on the 2nd with delivery on the 3rd.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: Don't force it. After the 4th is fine with me.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: Wouldnt be forcing it. In fact that timing may work out a little better as I would already have the boat on the gulf for the 4th. Either way though, The range of 2nd thru the 6th works. 6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: We will actually shut down for the holiday on the 3rd and resume operations on the 7th.6/24/2014Report a Violation

Question:
6/24/2014
What are you expecting to pay to see if we are even in the ballpark?Report a Violation
Response: You quoted roughly 6 dollars per mile. I have seen this same size boat moved on Uship in the 2.5 dollars range (even as low as 2.0.). When we were deciding where to bring the boat to, that was also the range that I received bids for to transport this boat. We really arent close.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: Its such a short distance that we have to quote higher. Shorter distances always pay more than the standard per mile for longer distances. $2 per mile is what a transporter could get if the boat was already sitting on its own trailer. If you find anybody that will do it for $4 per mile or better, take it because that's a great deal for you. Good luck.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: Understand. Thanks for the bid and advice but for $4/mile, I will tow it myself with a friends truck and trailer. Understand. Thanks for the bid and advice but for $4/mile, I will tow it myself with a friends truck and trailer.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Response: Towing it yourself may be your best option because unless you're extremely lucky you won't get a rate lower than $4 per mile, especially during the holiday. Good luck and take care.6/24/2014Report a Violation
Question:

Just last week I transported a Chaparral from Conroe Tx to Denison Tx. About 290miles. The cost was $2100. Just an example of short distance market rates.Report a Violation
Response: That's the beauty of the free market. If you don't like what I am willing to pay and I don't like what you want to charge, we don't have to do business together. Thanks and have a great day. No need to further this conversation.6/24/2014Report a Violation
