Question: Goodmorning windinhair here,will be in Montana on or about 5/21,22/08 making a boat deliverly,I wont have my trailer with me,but I have transported many bikes in the bed of my F250 and I only use soft ties,would need some help loading and unloading your bike,I am a M/C[motorcarrier]with 750k in liabilty and 100k in cargo insurance at no extra cost to you,and I have been a OTR driver off and on for about 21yrs now,and WILL take the upmost care of your bike,this is a HOT-SHOT service and would have your bike to you on or about 5/27,28/08,so if this would work for you please let me know also you could read my feed back by clicking on my name,will place a bid,WEW fuel is almost 5.00 a gallon,man this hurts everyone.Thank you [windinhair] (5/17/2008)

Response: understand and here's a suggestion given what you said ... local bike dealers will often have used / salvaged crate bases which may be acquired or even they will “palletize” the bike properly for shipment albeit for a fee but they are well versed in this need ... drop shipping to another dealer is good too as they can “de-crate” the bike & may even give you some credit for the crate base? ... this would also offset common carrier accessorial charges as bike would then be coming from (or going to) business type locations instead of residential to residential ... just an idea ... let me know if doable & will then consider ...
