Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hello do you still need these windows hauled ? (7/24/2005)
Response:
Hi, Yes I still need these shipped. Will you be driving this route sometime soon? Jona E. Kessans (7/24/2005)
Question:
Can these pallets be loaded and unloaded with a forklift?? Im working on a load going to Ohio now and would bid on this when the other load is confirmed. thanks Tim (7/26/2005)
Response:
Yes they can be loaded and unloaed that way. The specific measurements of the pallets are 42" square and 40" x 48". (7/26/2005)
Question:
I am in the final stages of making arrangements for a back haul out of Ohio. Would it be possible to pick up your pallets the week of Aug.9? Do they need to be tarped I have an open trailer? Thanks Tim (7/27/2005)
Response:
Aug 9th is fine. Assuming these would need to be tarped if for no other reason to contain loose debris from pallets and sashes to prevent raod debris. If the trailer has sides but no top then I would not worry about tarping. (7/27/2005)
Question:
Jona. One last question before I bid. If things work out I will pick-up the week of Aug 9 probably the 10th. If I understand you right , You have a forklift to load with and there will be one at the delivery sight. Is the Delivery sight a industrial business? Thanks Tim (7/27/2005)
Response:
Hi Tim, No I don't have a forklift at either site and both sites are residential sites. Moreover, if it would make it easier I can have the actual person shiping these to me just strap together the sashes in bundles of 4-6 that can be hand loaded into a truck. The pallets were just in case a driver wanted them that way. The person wanting to send these to me also said that it was entirely possible to put all on a single pallet. I saw you have a 3/4 ton pu with gn trailer and this would work great for this shipment. I am an artist and this individual in MD is offering these sashes to me free I just had to arrange the shipping and pay for it. Do you think this is doable? (7/27/2005)
Question:
Jona Bundeled together in 4 or 5 will work. I can hand load them. Wish I had a picture of them. Also waht part of Baltimore are they in? I am going to bid them . The bid price add the Uship price. Thanks for answering all my questions Tim (7/28/2005)
Response:
717 Woodbourne Ave, Baltimore Md 21212 is where they will come from to 355 e. 2nd street, Newport, Ky 41071 (just across the river from CIncinnati, OH) next to Newport on the Levee. I have written an email to the guy I am getting these from asking for a picture of a bundle of the windows so hopefully we can get a better estimate of weight, sizes etc. And to be honest I really only have about $200 to spare for these but could skrimp up another $50. But overall I think I, like you, need a photo to get a better idea of the windows themselves. (7/28/2005)
Question:
Jona Lets wait and see what the windows look like. I might have to redo my bid. Tim (7/28/2005)
Response:
Hi Tim, Ok, Bill the guy in MD who is giving me the windows emailed me 3 pictures with the average weight and said there are 40 windows. They are smaller 4 pane windows. he said some are a little larger and some smaller. I need to get these pictures to you. What is your email so I can send them? Regards, Jona E. (7/28/2005)
Question:
Jona I can not give you my email address on here it's against policy. you can attach a picture to your post though. The best way to get intouch with each other is for you to reject my bid and I will then rebid and you can accept that and then we will get each other's contact info from uship. Tim (7/29/2005)
Response:
ok I will attach pixs to the post. I canceled your bid so you could bid again. And I uploaded the pix so as you can tell they are not big and 4 do not stack very high at all not even pat this childs ankles. Looking forward to hearing from you. (7/29/2005)
Question:
Jona Looks good I can do this and I have rebid . Now we can talk to each other. Tim (7/29/2005)
Question:
Jona Accept this bid and then we will both be sent each other's contact info. No more asking questions through this medium. Have a great weekend. Tim (7/30/2005)
Response:
Hi Tim, Ok I just accepted your bid--thanks a bunch I couldn't believe how lucky I am to be getting tese windows-because they are 4 pane they will be perfect for an upcomung art show I am getting ready. Have a great weekend and I look forward to hearing from you. Best Regards, Jona E. Kessans (7/30/2005)
