Question: Hello, I make regular trips up and down the eastcoast, I also have carriers for the cats, and can pick them up between Sept. 28th thru the 30th. The cost for the transport would be 230.00. If you have any questions or, would like me to leave a bid, please let me know. Thank you, Jerry TurboJ (8/30/2009)

Response: What type of vehicle is used to transport cats? When stopping to sleep where will cats be? Will they be in a temperature controlled area? Do you pick up and deliver at my locations or do I meet you somewhere? My cats were abandoned when they were young and I adopted them, They are afraid of people, if transport carrier is opened they will probably try to run away. (8/30/2009)

Response: I transport in a van with front and rear a/c. I transport 4 - 5 pets at a time, and if I stop for the night I use pet friendly hotels so pets can stay in the room with me. Most of the time there are 2 of us driving so we dont usually have to stop on a trip like this. New England to Florida : 24 to 36 hours. The only time I'd open the carriers would be to clean the litter and give them food and water.I transport door to door, no need to meet me any place.Thank you for your responce, Jerry (8/30/2009)

Response: Is $230.00 for both cats or $230.00 for each cat? (8/30/2009)

Response: The 230.00 quote is for both cats. Can your cats ride together in 1 carrier, or do they need to be seperated ? (8/30/2009)

Response: They are brothers and love to be together. If the carrier is big enough, I would prefer that they be together. When I board them they share a cat condo. And they sleep in a cat playpen together every night.
The only issue with one of them is when they stink up the litter box or even if they don't finish their food and it is stinky, he tries to cover it up with their blankets or anything else in the cage. The person that owned them never cleaned up after them. I think he feels that is why they were thrown out of the house, because they made stinkies. Anyway he's getting a little better about that as I clean up after them and try to let him know it's alright. They are both very good cats, they just had a bad childhood. (8/30/2009)

Response: I understand, I dont mind cleaning up thier litter and left over food, thats just part of caring for a cat. I have carriers of varying sizes, from the very small to the very large so keeping them together won't be a problem. Would you like me to place a formal bid or, would you like more time to think about it ? (8/30/2009)

Response: I have requested prices from two other transporters via their website and haven't heard back yet. Also, my move dates aren't firm yet. We are supposed to have a closing on 10-01-09 but the contracts haven't been signed yet. That should happen tomorrow or Tuesday. As soon as that happens I will let you know. I am very pleased with what you have told me about your business. Thanks for your time. Hopefully, I will talk to you soon. Genie (8/30/2009)

Response: Ok, fair enough. Jerry (8/30/2009)

Response: I didn't forget you, I'm still waiting for signed contracts for the sale of my home. I don't have firm dates yet. I will let you know. Thanks Genie (9/2/2009)

Response: Hi Genie, just thought I'd check in. I'm beginning to take bookings for my upcoming transport to Florida, I will hold a crate open for your cats for as long as I can, just in case you should decide to transport with us. Thank you, Jerry (9/14/2009)

Response: My closing date keeps changing. Hopefully next week I will have a firm date, Sorry! (9/20/2009)

Response: I put in a new bid for you, did you find a place to accept it ? Jerry (9/27/2009)

Question: Hi Genie, please check my feedback!!!! I am currently the #1 cat transporter on Uship. My service is kind of unique. I transport via commercial airlines. Tiger and Smokey will ride in climate control cabin with my husband and I, never leaving my side. Delivered to you in hours! No dirty truck stops or rest areas. Not days on the road! No health certificate is required. I will supply the carriers for the flight. If someone could meet me at JFK airport and pick up at Fort Myers airport I would bid $395. If you needed door to door service we can also provide that Please let me know if I should place my bid. I could do this at just about anytime with a couple days notice. Lu-anne (9/21/2009)

Response: How is it that you can bring my two cats on a commercial airline? The cost for your tickets alone would be more than that? (9/23/2009)

Response: retired airline employee discounted fare. Lu-anne (9/23/2009)

Response: It would be very difficult for me to meet you at the airports. What would your price be to bring them door to door. We are about an hour away from Laguardia and about an hour away from Fort Meyers airports. (9/24/2009)

Response: I would need to cover a car rental in Fort Myers and gas and tolls in NY probably around $150. So total bid would be $545. If you tell me you are committed I would shop arould for lowest car rental price. Lu-anne (9/24/2009)

Response: We are looking at Oct.12th or 13th. When would you be available? If I understand correctly, you would pick up and deliver on the same day? Would it be okay with picking up from my Vet's office where my boys will be boarding? (9/26/2009)

Response: Tues the 13th would work fine. Cats delivered same day. Not a problem picking up from place where they are being boarded. I understand the cats are skiddish. I would have to take them out of their carrieries to go thru security. Do you think this will be a problem? Many of the house cats we travel with take a mild sedative prior to boarding the plane, is that a possibility? (9/26/2009)

Response: My cats are afraid of people. I'm pretty sure that they would kick and try to get away. I'm not sure about sedatives, they can cause breathing problems. I'm going to have to pass. Sorry! Thank you for all your time.
Sincerely,
Genie
(9/27/2009)

Response: no problem, just didnt want to run into a problom at airport. Best of luck, Lu-anne (9/27/2009)

Question: Hi Genie, Is it possible to pick up the cats on the 14th, 15th ? Thanks, Jerry (9/23/2009)

Response: I have to check with my Vet. If I did that you would have to pick them up from boarding and I'm not sure they would allow that? (9/23/2009)

Response: Ok, we have picked up from, and dropped off to vets and boarding houses in the past, but maybe its their policy not to allow that. If its possible let me know and I'll place the bid, I will be leaving New England for Florida on the 14th or 15th. I'd bring them down with me on this trip but, I dont have the room. Thanks, Jerry (9/23/2009)

Response: My Vet Office said that would not be a problem. If you picked them up on the 14th or 15th when would they arrive in Florida? (9/24/2009)

Response: Hi, the drop off time would be aprox. 48hrs. from the pick up time, Jerry (9/24/2009)

Response: I can't remember what your price was for my two boys? I would have to board them probably on the 10th when the movers clean out our house. I'm not sure I would want to board them for that many days?
(9/26/2009)

Response: My price is 230.00, my schedule has moved up a bit. I would be picking up on the 13th or 14th. Let me know if I should leave another bid for you. Thanks, Jerry, TurboJ (9/27/2009)

Response: I would like to accept your bid. How do I do that?
Thanks.
Genie (9/27/2009)

Response: I have to put in a new bid. Give me just a moment to do that, you might have to reload the page. Then you should have a place to click on accept bid. Jerry (9/27/2009)
