Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, Shipper! I'm from over in Seneca and may be able to help you with this, but I do have a few questions. Is the trailer to be empty? Is the trailer roadworthy and legal? Tandem axle with brakes? Where did you want to be price-wise? Right now, I'm available for the wkend of 3/17. If you're interested, please respond and we'll get your trailer moved safely and promptly. THANKS, todd (3/7/2006)
Response: The trailer is road worthy but has a slow leak in the tires. It will be empty. No brakes. Thanks! (3/7/2006)
Question: Assuming it's road legal and the tires hold air, i can do it this weekend for $250- Check my feedback. Dave (3/8/2006)
Response: The trailer does not have a tag, sorry! I may be able to get it registered down here in SC but it may take a week or 2 (3/8/2006)
Question: Hello! Can pick up Thursday night and deliver the morning of the 14th for just $179. Let me know, I'm already on the road. Thanks, -Nathan (3/8/2006)
Response: Hey Nathan, That price is perfect for me, and if you could do it more around the 16th or 17th it would be perfect but I am going to be out of town until then (to be honest I didn't expect anyone to be able to do it so soon). Let me know if you are making the trip again. (3/8/2006)
Question: Well, the price is low because after a few side trips here and there, I am passing directly through both of these towns. This is a one time trip and I won't be up that way again. The tires are not an issue as I have everything I will need to fix that. As long as the reg. and tag are both current, I can pick up without anyone needing to be there. I don't know what the drop off situation is going to be like, but the same goes for that at well. With wire transfers, paypal, and account direct deposit, this can be done without us ever actually meeting. If no one is going to be there, is there a neighbor at the drop location who would be able to verify that the trailer arrived safely? I'm open to anything. Camping in the outer banks at the moment, will continue to VA Bch by about 3pm tomorrow. Still plenty of time to do this. Let me know what you think. Thanks, -Nathan (3/8/2006)
Question: Hi, Shipper and THANKS for responding. Is the registration current on the trailer, if required? Do the lights work? I may be able to work this in for the wkend of the 17th. Let me keep working on this for you and I'll let you know ASAP! THANKS!!! todd (3/8/2006)
Question: Hello, I'm based in Dayton VA and can deliver your trailer anytime needed. If trailer not tagged I can haul it. If it is road worthy I will pull it. If i can pull it the price will be about $320.00 If I haul it the price will be about $430.00. Let me know if you are interested and I will place bid. Thanks Greg (3/9/2006)
Question: hi,i can move this trailer @you conveience, will pull with f-350,fully insured and have icc athority (3/10/2006)
Response: Do you have a price estimate for me? Trailer is older and needs to be totally redone, so the cheaper the better for me. Thanks! (3/10/2006)
Question: Hi, Shipper! I submitted a bid, but still a question; do the lights work? Gonna need at least brake lights. As for the tag, you can get a temporary tag ($5) or a regular tag ($10 + property tax) by mail, or through any DMV office. I live in Seneca and have owned a few trailers. Dunno about VA or NC, but SC DOES require a tag for anything over 2500 lbs. In short, the trailer is going to need a tag of some sort (and at least brake lights) to be legal, not to mention safe. Don't really want a ticket (or to cause a wreck) for my bid amount. Just to let you know... todd (3/10/2006)
Response: Funny, you and I are talking about moving my truck too. The trailer may be best hauled on a trailer (sounds funny but...) I got both vehicles as projects and as much as the trailer is safe to pull I am not sure as to the condition of the wiring. (3/10/2006)
Question: Shipper: I may be able to work around the brake lights (using auxillary lights), but it would be helpful if someone could simply "hook up" and check them. Can bring a small compressor for the tires. Gonna need some sort of tag, though. I really don't have the means to load your trailer onto another trailer. Are you saying you have a truck that needs moving, too? Could possibly do that, also. Let me know your thoughts. Would enjoy moving this on the dates in my bid. THANKS!!! todd (3/10/2006)
Response: I will see what I can do re:tags. You are actually already bidding on moving my 1975 chevy from Ohio. (at least I thought it was you:) (3/10/2006)
Question: i have a set of temp lights that i can use to move the trailer, and my dot#are from mississippi and they dont have temp tags ,the trailer is covered as cargo till delivered as long as the berrings and tires are in fair shape we should be ok!my bid stands @350.00 scexpress2 (3/11/2006)
Question: OK...I understand ya' now, Shipper! I'm surprised I didn't put two and two together earlier! As for your truck, I may be able to move delivery up 2 wks to 3/31, depending on a formal bid I have out that expires tomorrow. Of course, tags and lights won't matter on the truck as it will be trailered. I'm not real sure about what the other driver was talking about in Mississippi, nor do I know the laws of VA or NC. But I am kinda familiar with the laws regarding trailers in SC. I can also use auxillary brake lights, as I mentioned. Can give pulling the trailer w/out a tag a shot, as long as you're OK with covering any fines I incur. I'd offer to p/u a temp tag for you, but I don't think I can do that since it isn't my trailer. If you like, I can check on that. Of course, that would mean I'd need your contact info, which would mean you'd have to accept my bid! :) And thats IF DMV would let me do that. Anyway, good working with you so far and hope to get BOTH your vehicles moved. (3/11/2006)
Response: I am still waiting on an answer on the width of the truck. I was going to get the title to the trailer picked up with the trailer, but I think I will contact and get it now so that I can get plates and then mail them to you. Wow, can't wait to have this stuff home :)Let me contact the seller and get a time frame on that so that I can give you a definate answer. I just don't want to accept your bid until I'm sure I wouldn't have to cancel on you. (3/11/2006)
Question: Hi, Shipper! I understand and fully appreciate your consideration. If you read my profile, you can figure my availability (every other wkend). I'd really like to move your trailer the wkend of 3/17. If my bid expires before I hear back from you, I'll re-bid and extend the deadline a day or two. However, I kinda need to start "firming" my run(s) for next wkend soon. Thanks again, todd (3/11/2006)
Response: I understand totally. I have the feeling I will have to wait until you are available again. Between waiting on the title to arrive and getting to DMV with my schedule... (3/11/2006)
Question: Hi again, Shipper! I'm going to go ahead and re-submit my original bid with an open timeline, provided you're aware of my availability. If the seller sends you the title, I think I can handle the temp or regular tag, as well as your title transfer, for you. If you accept my bid, we'll both be given each others' contact info and we could handle this by mail. I will confirm this with DMV tomorrow, but I will go ahead and place my bid now. This is provided, of course, that you're comfortable doing this...and I understand if you aren't. My 4/14 wkend is pretty much booked already. That would mean my next available would be 4/28 (was kinda hoping to get your truck one of those wkends!). Anyway, I understand if you're not comfortable, but thought this may be a way to get the trailer home this coming wkend. THANKS!!! todd (3/12/2006)
Response: Wanted to let you know I am still waiting to hear back from the trailer guy as well (LOL, both are taking forever). As soon as I know when he can send the title, etc, I will let you know. Thanks again. (3/12/2006)
Question: No problem, Shipper and thanks for touching base. I dont think the truck will be a problem. todd (3/14/2006)
Response: April would be best for the truck, if that works for you of course. Someone just bid 275 for the trailer tho, and again I have to keep the lowest price in mind. I am still waiting on measurements and a time frame for the title to let you know. (3/14/2006)
Question: Hi, Shipper! I don't think the width of the truck will be a concern. As for the price, I understand your concern, as I'm sure you understand mine. This move is just over 1000 miles for me (Seneca to Dayton, to Rock Hill, to Seneca) and is "dedicated" (I can't pull my trailer AND yours to transport additional items to defray costs). Fuel alone will be over $200, not to mention the UShip fee charged to drivers (7.9%). At my price, I'd be fortunate to break even. Perhaps the total mileage is much less for the drivers with lower bids. Perhaps they simply bid lower w/out considering everything above. In the end, of course, it's your choice and your property. I'll have to stand on my price. If we can get your trailer home this wkend (safely and promptly, of course!), let me know. THANKS!!! todd (3/15/2006)
Response: I understand totally, believe me. I used to ship horses long ago and far away and was always amazed how low some people could go. How soon would you need payment if I wanted to lock you down to pick up the truck the first weekend in May? (3/15/2006)
Question: I can do this next friday (3/24) for $300 on a flat trailer. No lights, title or tag issues. -- Dave (3/16/2006)
Response: Can you do it mid april? If so, submit a bid and I will accept it. Thanks! (3/16/2006)
