Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello. My name is Jerry and I am an owner of SAG Industries Incorporated based out of Maple Hill, KS. I, along with my wife, transport various items using a 2004 Ford diesel truck and a 42 ft Pace American enclosed trailer with a ground-level rear loading ramp and two side access doors. The trailer is air conditioned, has lighting, and an alarm system, along with diamond plated floors, storage shelves, and cabinets. We ensure our cargo up to $50,000 at no additional charge to the customer and we carry $1,000,000 in liability motor carrier insurance. We have state and federal authority (licensing) to transport vehicles, household goods, and general freight, along with a valid MC and DOT number. We will be departing Kansas Sept. 28th for Seattle, WA and would like to accommodate you by taking on your job. Please read our feedback from past Uship customers. Can we count on the job if we can come to terms on price? Please let us know ASAP to avoid missing you. Thanks, SAG Industries (9/27/2008)
Response: As this is our first time using this service, I am unsure as to what a going rate is for something like this. Our customer was hunting up at our lodge in Saskatchewan and was successful. I am trying to avoid making a side trip to Colorado as our winter home is in Oklahoma. Can you give me an idea as to what something like this might cost. Thanks D.J Enns [website removed] (9/27/2008)
Question: Do you need a refrigerated trailer or will the coolers keep them at the right temperature as to not spoil? We like to get $2 per mile but for items of this size and weight we could do it for $1 per mile, maybe less if other good paying jobs can be arranged along the same route and meeting p with you will not be a hassle or cost us a lot of time. Thanks, SAG Industries Inc (9/27/2008)
Response: I am going to try to get one more small cooler and seperate all the meat and put dry ice on top. I believe it will keep for at least 2 days on the road. D.J (9/27/2008)
Question: The timing is about perfect for us because we plan to leave Maple Hill, Kansas tomorrow morning and it is just a 3 hour and 14 minute drive to Omaha, Nebraska. We could meet you at a Wal-Mart parking lot, truck stop, popular exit, or some other place of your choice. We use GPS and we could keep contact by cell phone on our way to the meeting point tomorrow morning. Meeting in a trucker's area is best for us because we are 65ft long. We can do it and are willing to go through Nebraska on our way to Seattle, Washington, but are you willing to pay the price for the last minute arrangement, the meeting on the road, and the special care items being transported? We would have the items to Loveland, Colorado ASAP as we need to be in Seattle by Saturday morning to load a $4000.00 job. Lastly, please respond only if you are serious about getting this job done because we spend hours a day going back and forth with people via e-mail who waste our time, and that gets expensive. Best Regards, Je (9/27/2008)
Response: I am not one to jerk someones chain. I think that would work great for us. I just need a final price. D.J (9/27/2008)
Question: DJ, Good paying jobs we get $2 per mile and celebrate, mediocre jobs we get $1 per mile, jobs that are losers but we grab them just because we have room and are going that way regardless pay 50 cents per mile, and we do not like to talk about those. Are you willing to pay us $1 or more per mile considering we will be going out of our way to accommodate you by going through Nebraska on our way to Seattle vs. heading straight west from Kansas through Colorado? Keep in mind fuel costs us 50 cents per mile, plus our time is a factor. Best regards, SAG Industries Inc (9/27/2008)
Response: What I was hoping to do was about 400.00 for the trip. I know your time is money. I am trying to avoid a trip to Colorado, and at 400.00 it makes it worth my while. If its not doable for you or its to much of a hassle please just say so. I completely understand. Thanks in advance. D.J (9/27/2008)
Question: Ok, you strike a hard bargain but we understand how it is--there is a fine line between it being worth paying to have it done and driving it yourself. However, your time and the convenience of not having to mess with it is worth something too--of course some person’s time is worth more than others--haha. We can afford to and would make the trip for $400 but would like to net $400 after the cut this website will take. The site will take $53.94, so can we compromise and get the bid submitted on this site at $453.94 so we will actually pocket the $400? This would still be less than $1 per mile, what do you say? Please respond asap so we know how to plan our schedule for tomorrow--whether or not we do your job greatly affects us, and we would like to know asap so we can plan accordingly. Lastly, we do appreciate your business and thank you for considering us regardless even if it seems we do not--we are just busy. I am sure you know how it is as a fellow business owner:) ~SAG Industries~ (9/27/2008)
Question: Hi DJ, What time were you looking to meet in Omaha? We are in Chicago running 80 and would be happy to meet you there in the afternoon and deliver to your customer for 475 the next morning direct. You can accept our bid with 100% feedback and get our number to call us right away. We are leaving Chicago in the morning. Thanks Team CJ (9/27/2008)
Question: DJ, We did not get a response from our last e-mail and are wondering if we are going to meet you tomorrow in Nebraska? You now have another carrier who has come in with an official bid at $400 but we ask that you honor our offer first over new carrier on the scene due to the time we have spent corresponding and working on the details to make such a transaction possible. We will give you first class service and daily status updates by e-mail or telephone telling you the exact location of your items and we will work to make sure the items are properly preserved and delivered intact. We will submit an offical bid as soon as we hear back from you. What do you say? Erin & Jerry ~ SAG Industries Inc (9/27/2008)
Response: Thanks but I did finally get a offer on shipping that saved me alot of money. Thanks for your time. D.J (9/27/2008)
