Question:
7/23/2012
Hello! Will you be helping load and unload for a cheaper price or do you need full service? Alex - All Things MovedReport a Violation
Response: i'll be helping load/unload for a cheaper price. thanks!7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Ok how many people will you have? Also do you have a guess as to how much truck space would be needed? Alex - All Things Moved7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: just myself as far as people. as far as truck space, i would think it'd all fit in a 17 ft truck. major items are dining room table/6 chairs, buffet server, l-couch, ottoman, king bed, desk, double dresser, 2 end tables for bedroom, 2 end tables for living room, 50' tv, 36' tv, washer, dryer, 4 folding patio chairs, and tv table. other than that it's just boxes for kitchen supplies, clothes, and misc stuff i believe. it's been a couple years since i moved so don't remember size of the van, but i don't believe it's too many boxes as my new apt is a 700 sq ft 1 bedroom place so can't have too much stuff coming w/ me! let me know if you have any other questions. thanks!7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Ok and were you wanting to do your move specifically on August 3, or was that kind of just a guideline? Alex - All Things Moved7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: specifically on august 3. that's the day my new apt is available and i need to be unpacked and settled before the end of that weekend. so was planning to start that morning in dallas, pack up, drive to austin, and unload that afternoon.7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Ok, I could bring a 16 foot truck for $900. If I can line up something to bring back towards Dallas, I could lower the price. Alex - All Things Moved7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: i don't think that price is gonna work for me. i can rent a 17' uhaul w/ towing for my car for $255, could have some buddies around here help me load it up, and just pick up a couple locals in austin looking for some extra cash for $150 to help me unload...throw in refilling the uhaul w/ gas for $80 (231 miles and 2 days included in uhaul price) and that has me moved for around $500. to not be as involved in the move or have to worry about finding people to help me unload once in austin, i'd be willing to pay an extra $200, so that makes $700 most i'd be looking to pay for the move. that's not even mentioning the gas cost i have to take on for driving my car vs. towing w/ doing it myself, but i'll leave that out of the negotiations. i'm going back to school so i've gotta watch my budget, so if i can't get the right price i'll just handle it on my own. let me know if you're able to make that work. thanks!7/23/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Ok if I come across something to combine that can bring my costs down I can let you know, thanks and good luck! Alex - All Things Moved7/23/2012Report a Violation
