Question: We do not place an official bid until we have had a chance to work out important details with the customer to determine the job is a good fit for both you and our company—household moves are big jobs that require careful planning and care. Can you tell us what kind of service you are looking for and tell us what we could do as a company to make your move as painless as possible. Usually, we come to the home the day before we load the cargo to prep it or wrap and protect it. Then, the following day we return to load all items in the trailer. From this point we drive the items keeping excellent communication by giving you progress reports daily. On arrival, after giving you at least a day's notice, we unload, position each item in the home where you desire it be put, assemble anything disassembled, and clean up. Payment is not due until we complete the job on delivery. What can we do from this point to earn this job? We would like to earn your positive feedback on Uship. ~SAG Industries~ (2/1/2009)

Response: I am looking for someone to relocate my furniture to NC from FL with pickup dates being between the dates of 2/13/09 to 2/22/09 with the delivery dates being approximately one week from the date of pickup, although I am flexible on the pickup date I would need to know the approximate date you think you could pick up. I have approximately 30 boxes, various sizes, 3 two cushion couches, 2 coffee tables, 2 end tables, small curio, 2 bakers racks, 55" tv with stand, 2 two shelf bookcases, 8 x 10 rug, king size bed, dresser, jewerly cabinet, 31" tv and stand, 13" tv, floor lamp and misc garage items, like small toolbox, bicycle, although most of garage items will be in boxes as well, the move to NC is within a gated community and the driveway has a slope, but is a circle drive, there will be stairs involved, if any further info is available please let me know, also please still submit your bid even if it exceeds the value I placed on the bid (2/1/2009)

Response: We will not be the cheapest bid you get on Uship, but you will hire a company that is licensed by the federal government to move household goods and a company that has a proven track record of doing whatever it takes to keep the customer happy. It is our standard practice to cover and plastic wrap items (especially wood furniture). However, if you could have all items you desire to be boxed already boxed at arrival, this would help lower the cost to you. We hope we are able to come to an agreement with you. We would like to earn your positive feedback on Uship. We are booked near solid for the end of February. Would it hinder you to have the load date take place the first week of March? Lastly, I will send you one more message immediately to follow that you might find helpful. Thank you for you time, Jerry ~SAG Industries Inc~ (2/1/2009)

Response: Sorry, but I have to be out of my home in Florida by the last day of February (2/2/2009)

Response: Best to you! ~SAG Industries Inc~ (2/2/2009)

Question: hello from NC, trying to figure a way to bid your job on any date you prefer. So, only one bed and one dresser and no other bedroom furniture? I see no more on your list. Would my bid need to include a helper or would you have a family member, friend, or neighbor that could help on the few items that will require two persons? Please check my feedback. This is the only way to let you see the care we give to your items. No negatives and no cancels that were my fault. Since the only bids you can accept are formal bids, below, I'll not make offers in this question. Leaves too many details yet to be determined. I've found that people do not like surprises. I can tell you my bid would be inclusive, everything covered. Thanks. I look forward to your reply. I see you say you got to be out by the last day of the month, the 28th, a Saturday. Is that your desired move date or what are all the dates that work for you? (2/7/2009)

Response: Hello from Florida, the bedroom does only include the king size bed, headboard, dresser and a jewerly cabinet, so looking around the room here you would need help with the 2 tv's, 3 couches, curio and baker's racks I am trying to get a firm count on the boxes, it appears that I have gone over the estimate I put on the site, I am trying to finish up the packing today so I can get a good count of the boxes, at the moment my estimate is 50 boxes, misc sizes from small to wardrobe.
I'm trying to remember everything that needs to be moved, I'm sure there is something I'm leaving out.
Would there be much of a difference in price if you brought a helper? I would need to hire a neighbor to help but that would be ok, also my move dates that I would like to have is sometime the week of 2/16-2/19 and delivery after the 19th, so anytime between 2/20-2/27.
Please let me know what you think, THANKS (2/7/2009)

Response: I do not think the number of boxes would matter because my idea was to bid your job and rent a truck large enough. Or you rent one there, one way, to say Charlotte (after the delivery in Advance). We'd arrive there with the truck, or if you got the truck, the bus station, you pick us up, and we go load, drive, and unload. My own truck is not big enough so a larger truck would be the only way. There are places out there that give free miles on one way rentals. It would have to be a pickup in Fla one day and delivery the next day in NC. I am booked on the 24th, so that date is out. Just throwing the idea out there since you have not accepted a bid as of yet. (2/7/2009)

Response: I would feel more comfortable if you rented the truck, so if delivery needed to be the day after pickup then my option dates are pickup 2/19 delivery 2/20 or pickup 2/20 delivery 2/21.
I also remembered after your first email that in the bedroom there is also a 31" tv and stand, although this was on my list I did not tell you that it was included in the bedroom furniture.
if you think these dates and conditions will work for me please put in a bid, or if you need further info please let me know (2/7/2009)

Response: Let me check on a truck and the availability of my helper.
The 1200 mile round trip might make it not feasible, not sure right now. (fuel, ride and labor hours for two persons) I'll have you an answer by Monday.
(2/7/2009)

Question: Hi.......allowing 24 hours with stops, etc. for 1200 miles round trip, fuel cost, rental truck, fee, labor for the long ride and maybe 5-6 hours total labor for loading and unloading, the total is over 700 and I could not give you a bid as low as what you have. Sorry. Good luck on your move. (2/8/2009)

Question: Hello. We wanted to check back in with you to see if you are getting closer to making a final decision on whom you will hire to perform your move. We will not be the cheapest bid you get on Uship, but you will hire a company that is licensed by the federal government to move household goods and a company that has a proven track record of doing whatever it takes to keep the customer happy. We cannot promise that everything would go perfectly, but we can promise we would be responsible and make right with you anything that may go wrong. We would move all your household goods in one trailer directly to the destination and they would be insured up to $100,000.00 at no additional cost to you. Please visit our Uship profile by clicking on our screen name “SAGindustries” where you can view our licensing credentials, view other jobs we have completed, and our feedback. Can we count on this job if we can come to terms? Thanks, Jerry ~SAG~ (2/8/2009)

Response: I will be making a decision tomorrow, I think when we spoke last you were booked until the end of the month, if not please put in a bid, as I will accept one of the bids tomorrow (2/8/2009)
