Additional Information: I probably shouldn't say this, but money is not the primary object here. I have been burned in the past by a national mover and would rather have a couple of guys solely dedicated to taking care of my stuff, rather than a slot on an 18 wheeler that cannot stick to a schedule due to other space on their trailer. Also, companies who demand a money order prior to offload need not respond. Who gets paid for a service prior to the service?...nobody. If I had to guess, I've got 2500 - 3000 lbs. and need a direct drive to NY with an immediate unload. Report a Violation

Question: Hello Shipper, we are a small, independent moving company based in Iowa City, IA. We can p/u on March 20th and deliver on the 26th. We are professional full service movers with great rates. A few questions: 1. Is there anything preventing semi access at both ends? ie tight turns overheads less than 13'6" or bridges w/ weight restrictions. 2. Response: not sure about the destination yet...am flying out next week to find a place. This is going to be a tight time frame, but I think the time frame you reference will work. No restrictions on origination end. No stairs at origination except for porch stairs (3) and the upstairs of the house. (3/3/2007)

Response: will definitely keep you in mind. I like the dedicated pu part. As I mentioned...am willing to pay a premium for dedication and flexibility. Question for you...are you gonna use an 18 wheeler or a smaller truck? (3/3/2007)

I need to spend a week in NY (wed thru tues, this week and next) to figure out where I'm going to end up. question: does this bid include taking apart bed and dining table (and reassembly), loading, unloading, blankets, gas etc.? Question: No problem, I like it when shipper ask a lot of questions, that way there are no surprises for either of us and the move goes smoothly. We provide full service moving, door to door, including furniture (dis)assembly and pad wrapping all furniture before loading. This quote is based on a 3000lbs shipment. Anything over 3250lbs will incur and additional fee of $2.60/lb. (3/3/2007)
