Additional Information: I am looking for an empty truck that needs a filler load. I am willing to pay an hourly rate($30/hourx2 peoplex3 hours loading and 3 hours unloading) plus cover the fuel (est.$200). This is a groundlevel home so only lifting will be into truck. I have a small dolly to move washer and dryer but refrig maybe too lg to use it. Destination will be bottom floor of 2 story home or storage unit depending on date. I am moving a farm so I am hauling 5-6 loads myself (livestock, tractor and equip. etc. I can add more to this load if price is right and it if will save me a trip. Too much to list here). I will have a good many boxes but I can haul them but will fill in around furniture as needed to help secure load. Thanks. Report a Violation

Question: Hello shipper. This is my first time on uship but I thought I'd try it out. I own a moving company in Nebraska and we are moving a family down to san antonio the 2nd week of june. Response: Hi Davis, First thank you for responding to my posting. Unfortunately, I can not accept your offer. I have a 20' flatbed gooseneck trailer and a 20 enclosed horse trailer so will most likely move myself. I was willing to basically pay the $ value for the fuel plus a reasonable amount based on time spent loading and unloading. I estimated 3 hours each for that plus a generous $200 for fuel. If it is two people working X 6 hours = 12 man hours of labor. At $30/hour/person = $360 plus fuel of $200 = $560. I am going to be making about 8 trips so was hoping to eliminate the furniture one. I already have two loads of horses, 2 loads of farm equipment, 1 load of livestock, and 2 loads of boxes, tools, misc. so the actual furniture was something I could hire out. Response: I am looking for a truck headed that way empty that I can pay labor to load and fuel costs. Otherwise, I will haul it myself since I have the truck and trailers to do it. Three hours loading and three hours unloading is generous and if I pay an even more generous $30/hour for two people plus fuel ($200 - I drive it for $100 with an F350 w/trailer) that would be considerably less than the quotes I am getting. I have helpers here that will be loading the farm stuff so I guess I will just make yet one more trip to take the furniture. My house is only 1200 sq ft so my 20 ft flat bed trailer will hold it and I can just tarp it or put it in the horse trailer that is also 20'. (5/13/2007)

Response: No, what I am saying is if there is someone who is running empty back that way from the DFW area and would like to pick up their gas money plus being paid for their loading time, I would like to talk to them. I am not interested in paying more than that since I am capable of doing the job myself but have at least 7 other loads to haul so contracting out one would be nice. (5/29/2007)
