Question: Hello, when are you looking to move your belongings? I will be unloading household goods in the Bay area on Aug.3-4th. If everything is packed and ready to load I could move your items in my 40 ft. enclosed trailer. If you were able to help load and unload I can transport your goods for appx. $3425.00. Thanks for your time, Ken (7/21/2009)

Response: Ken,
We can't be in CA before the middle of August. Thank you for your interest. Joan (7/22/2009)

Response: Thanks, good luck with your move. Ken (7/22/2009)

Response: Thanks (9/9/2009)

Question: Hello Shipper: this is Luis with M.A.S. Moving Inc.
I want to provide a rate that is reasonable based on the 1900 miles your move is requiring.
If you prefer, our rate can be based on the actual weight and the rate is .76 cents per lb. with a minimum of 5000 lbs.
PLease let me know if this rate will work for you.
here is what is included: transportation/Loading and blanket wrapping/ unloading and setting up in place at destination. It does not include any plumbing or installation of appliances,
Thank you. luis (7/22/2009)

Response: Luis, We are moving items stored in a storage unit left over from our original household move. Many are boxed or don't need wrapping, packing. We prefer a flat rate because we do not know the weight of the items. We are told the items should fit in a 26 ft uhaul truck. The move will be to our home in Missouri, into a storage area or the house. Thank you. Joan (9/9/2009)

Question: We are a licensed and insured moving co. We could pick up Aug 12th and deliver in 2 to 3 day's after pickup for a total cost of $ 3400.00 Please let me no if this works for you. Thanks, JC Moving (7/24/2009)

Response: JC...not a bad price. Our things are in a storage unit... the remainder of our first move from a large home... it will fill a 24-26 ft uhaul truck.
I don't know how to estimate a 2 bedroom house but since more than half of our stuff went in the larger move, we figure that was a good estimate.
We are now thinking of moving in September 2nd or 3rd week... is your truck available during that time period? Thanks for the information...
J
(7/24/2009)

Response: The reason I can do a price like this is because we will already be right by your location. So the time frame is important. Hopefully we can still work it out. Thanks -JC Moving & Delivery (7/24/2009)

Question: Hello,
My name is Meriah and I am the owner of Secured Transport, I had a cancellation for our mid September transport ands my truck will be hauling empty on its return haul from CA. I'm placing several bids on any transports from CA to East coast at a discounted rate to fill the vacancy. At this time I have the 14th-22nd available for pick up. If you think this timeframe will work for you please let me know and I will put in an official bid at $3200 to hold the Mid September shipment for you. Our availability does change daily so If my dates are full before you can get back to me....as a peace of mind, Any bid under $3600 is a heck of a deal. Good luck and let us know if we can assist you in any way with your move. (7/27/2009)

Response: Meriah,
The bid is a good one... and the September dates will work. Let me check our schedule and see what we can work out. Also, my "2 bedroom house" is in a storage unit in Rancho Cordova. We were told by a mover that it would fit in a 24-26 foot rental truck, so I hope your bid will work for this size.
Does your bid include loading the truck? And are there any other charges? Thanks for your response.
JOAN BARRY, Hartville MO (7/27/2009)

Response: Hello again Ma'am.....Thank you for your quick response. $3200 would be the total amount due for a 30 foot truck, Which should be more then enough room to accomadate your shipment. I can provide a loading crew from the CA pickup, although unloading it in the MO destination can be difficult. My driver can assist with unloading if you can give me a couple of people to help out. If not, then I will try to make arrangements on MO side as well. If you choose to accept my bid, our office will contact you within 24 hours to set up the pick up arrangements. We do not need exact dates for the move at this time. We just need the week of move as we discussed prior. I would like to lock in that week as soon as possible to take it off my avail. books. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you with your move. I know the email line of comunication is often times more difficult and confusing then business needs to be. I do apologize. (7/27/2009)

Response: Hi, Thanks for your bid... We don't know any people who can help unload on the Missouri side of the trip... however, we can help a bit. I think at least one other person would be needed... I have other bids and will try to make a decision on the weekend... Thank you. J (7/28/2009)

Response: Hello again,
We can have the CA pick up loaded, the issue is the unload in MO. Unloading is significantly easiser due to the items are already wraped and tied to the tow dollies, I just need another able body who is able to assist in the unloading of the awkward/heavy items. We can load it no problem. If you want me to match the other bid for $3350 I can pull a man off of one of my other moving crews and bring him along for the transit to the MO side too and do a full service unload too. I was just trying to save you folks a few hundred dollars if you wanted to assist me in the unloading of the MO side. Please let me know if you have any more questions/concerns. I would be happy to assist you in any way I can. (7/28/2009)

Response: Hi Securedtransport(19)... another question. Sorry for the back and forth but we want to get this right.
1. Where are you located? The pick up site is in
Sacramento County CA; we want to be sure your
bid takes that into consideration.
2. Also, please describe how you want payment
made and when.
3. Also, we will be at the pick up site in CA when the move is made. It will take us 3-4 days to return to Missouri to be there when the truck arrives. How long do you anticipate your road travel will take to bring the items to Missouri?
Thank you for your patience with all these questions. Joan Barry (7/30/2009)

Response: Hello Ma'am:
Your questions are no problem. I know this way of communication is difficult to keep up with. First, we are located in Reno, NV. But, we have nationwide contracts that run East to West coast every other week. We understand you are in California. That is no problem for us. Two) Way of payment is like most shippers, COD = Cash on delivery. Generally it is half upfront at pick up when the truck is loaded and the balance upon delivery. If you are not comfortable with this agreement then I can have you fill out a promissary balance owed upon delivery form. Which simply means you will have cash upon delivery. Some customers like having that option and either works for us. Three) Our truck gets there when you get there. Our drivers are restricted to 12 hours/800 miles a day transit time. So I could have your items there in three days from pick up. If you need us to hold over a day then that is no problem. Our driver will stay in 24 hour contact with you. Just let our office know (7/31/2009)

Response: Hi,
We thank you for your patience with our questions, which you've answered to our satisfaction. We would like to accept your bid of $3300 for our move from Rancho Cordova CA to Hartville MO. However, I've asked for a rebid from you since the listed bid on uship is the original $3100 bid you gave us.
We have selected a potential move and delivery date for your consideration:
pick up on Friday, September 25 in Rancho Cordova and deliver to MO on September 30 (or later) to allow us time to return home. We are driving to MO and need the extra time. Please let me know your comments or suggested alternative dates. When I receive your "rebid" on usave I will accept that (I think our original bids request has expired.) Thank you for your efforts. Joan Barry (7/31/2009)

Response: Hello just checking in. I know its the weekend but I did not recieve any notice form uship stating my $3300 bid was accepted. although you wrote me and said you accepted the bid? I cannot lock in your dates and this bid rate or have a truck available to you until you have officially accepted the bid and paid the deposit on uship. Are you still looking for other shippers or taking other bids? I can not contact you until a bid is officially accepted and uship releases your informatrion to me. Please get back to me and let me know if there is a problem with the uship site or if you decided to go with another shipper? Thank you very much
-Ashley at Secured Auto Transport (8/2/2009)

Response: Hi,
Thank you for your email. I want to ship on the dates we suggested (Sept 25th) but I do not want to submit a deposit before September. If you can hold those dates, I appreciate it, but if you cannot, I also understand. I have received several other bids for $3300 for September, but since you've been so helpful, I'd like to work with your company.
Stay in touch. Thank you. Joan Barry (8/3/2009)

Response: Hello Mrs. Barry,
Yes, we are still holding the September dates for you. No rush. Just keep us posted if your dates change or concerns arise. Thank you- Ashley w/Secured Transport (8/11/2009)

Response: Thank you Ashley. So far out dates are the same. We'll get the deposit to you in September. We appreciate your staying in touch. Looking forward to working with you. Joan Barry (8/11/2009)

Response: Hi Rodmary64024,
