Questions for this shipment:

Question: Does any of the furniture go upstairs other than beds. Anything extremely heavy going up? Just want to make sure, I don't see that you have a piano. Do you? Is it really 8 miles from one house to the other? Do you need any special packing done? I hate to sound stupid, but I'd rather ask...You pack and I move and help you set up. I that correct? I have moved many people cross country with USHIP and have been the guy at our church who was always in chrge of moving people. Propbably more than 30 moves and NEVER had even the smallest item broken or damaged in any way. markbaker (3/11/2007)
Response: The move is actually less than 3 miles away. I do not have a piano, and I don't think anything heavy will be going upstairs (other than the beds). My treadmill may go downstairs, and a bed as well (into the basement). I still have to figure that part out. -jami (3/17/2007)
Question: Jami, I can do it next Saturday the 24th or the 31st, which ever is best for you for your target price. Just a few more questions for you and I only ask to make sure we have what you need... Is there a fridge, washer, dryer or anything that would require an appliance dolly? We'd be happy to move whatever you have. Would love to be able to help you in this move. I will place an official bid when I hear back from you. markbaker (3/17/2007)
Response: Saturday the 24th would be best for me. There are no appliances being moved. However, the two items that are the heaviest are the maple armoire and a treadmill. It's looking like i will be able to move a significant amount of the boxes myself. Basically, I will be able to move the entire kitchen myself. Ultimately, the things that I'll need to be moved are... Armoire X 2 (only one is actually heavy) 2 queen beds (1 frame) treadmill sofa loveseat dresser 2 end tables 1 sofa table 1 coffee table desk what do you think? (3/18/2007)
Question: Jami, no need to stress yourself with all that moving. It would be our pleasure to do it for you and help get everything in the proper rooms and the furniture where you would like it. I just noticed that you wrote me back after I bid. Not sure when you wrote , so sorry if you have been waiting for me to get back with you. Look forward to helping you. markbaker (3/18/2007)
Question: Hi Jami, it appears you have again lessoned your load. Per your revised list, I will revise my quote. As far as schedule, I may be able to squeeze you in Saturday but at this point I do have a crew available 3/25 about noon. There are no additional charges for moving on a Sunday. The most important thing is to make sure who ever you hire is licensed to move households within the State of Oregon or they are subject to fines and license suspension. You can visit the Oregon Department Of Transportation website for a complete list of authorized movers. This ensures you are not only hiring movers that are licensed but more importantly insured as the State monitors the household moving and all companies listed at this site must file proof of insurance before ODOT will give them authority. Several other states are not like this, but Oregon is one of the last states that still regulates household moving. Please email me with questions. Thanks, Heather (3/19/2007)
Question: Hi Jami, I would be able to do this for you after 1p on Saturday, if that works best for you. As you do not have as much for me to load and unload, I would be able to lower my bid again to help you. Thanks, Moxy69 (3/20/2007)
