Questions for this shipment: 

Question: Thank you for requesting my bid, however I have other committments on Sunday March 4th so I would only be able to move you on March 2nd, not the 3rd. I also need to find out how much it will cost me to bring a packer to pack up some of your items. Since this is a low price that you are allowing, the packing will have to be a quick job, there is not enough funds or time to make sure everything is properly wrapped. Will this be a problem? Response: Craig, I moved using a local NH co. 16 mos. ago from Manchester to Keene, a distance similar to this move. There were 2 men, who loaded and unloaded and I paid a total of $900 plus tips. One guy came a day ahead to pack and it took him about 3 hrs, and the packing was incl in the total price. I am beginning to think I need to look at local co's because I have limited funds, which are not totally unreasonable, and because I am already working in VT and so don't have any flexibility with my dates. Perhaps because this is an Internet situation, the prices are higher than going local. I understand where you are coming from, but I can't take any risks that my belongings aren't going to be packed properly. Thanks for getting back to me. (2/25/2007)

Response: Thanks for the response. So, you would pack, load and unload all on the same day? If so, would that be on 3/02 or 3/03? And, you saw my estimated inventory and that the unload will be up a small flight of steps to the inside of the TH and then the BR stuff up an inside stairway? Just making sure I have given all possible details. One final question, my total will be $900 for everything, other than any tips I hand out, correct? I see that you are relatively new to this website-just want to make certain we are on the same page about things. Question: Yes, if you could hire someone local just to do all the packing, then I would be more than glad to take this price (hiring in town packer)off the $900. You box it and I'll haul it, please review my customer feedback-I will provide you will the best service. Also I would like to transport your items either late Friday or real early Saturday, because I have another committment in OH on Sunday. Response: Hello,thanks for your input. You have excellent feedback on this site, and my late husband was 28 years active duty military when he died in 1989. I have not approached this situation from a "find someone to pack" scenario and I am already working in Woodstock, a round trip commute of 3 hours daily. Doesn't leave me much time to get anything done except weekends. I am off on Friday's though, which could work if I can find a packer for early Friday AM. I want to be certain you know that I have always used a 22-24 ft truck for my moves, and I do have a few very heavy solid pine pieces. The load should be cut&dry,but the unload involves a few steps to the outside porch and the B.R. stuff then goes up another longer flight of steps inside.A dolly is needed at both loc's. I will see what I can do about the packing and get back to you ASAP. Thank you. (2/26/2007)
Question: Yes, my hauler is 24 ft, I do supply dollies, throw blankets, and this includes myself and another guy for loading/unloading. Question: you said you have some heavy furniture, is this heavy furniture going up the stairs inside the house, hopefully we can unload at the first floor? Let me know. (2/26/2007)

Response: Hello James, I see that the weather channel and our local news stations are predicting snow and/or sleet for Friday and possibly Saturday of this week. Keene is calling for a wintry mix and Woodstock, VT is calling for snow. I presume you would rather do this move in clear weather? Do you have Thursday open, just in case my boss allows me that day off to wrap things up? I have to leave today by 11AM, can you please get back to me before that time this morning? Thanks.
