Question: I checked rental prices with car carrier, I could provide the rental car carrier, fuel, transportation, to p/u and d/o, and all other expenses, for $3462.89. Check my profile. Before you accept any carrier, ask for their DOT and MC#, tax id and insurance. Then verify on the internet thru Safer web, under licensing and insurance. Make sure the Co. name they gave you is the same one, and that it says Yes under household and cargo insurance. A legitimate company, will have this info, even if renting a truck, the reason they have you rent the truck is so they can circumvent the law. Legally, they can't move you, without this info. If renting a truck, make sure the rental agreement shows that you have cargo insurance. Do not accept any contract, unless it reads, final price, no other charges apply. Too many scammers, quote 1 price and at the end find reasons to charge more before releasing your goods. Thank you for your consideration. Tom (1/26/2007)
