Questions for this shipment:

Question: thanks for the bid request but we're not in the area right now. good luck w/ your shipment! (1/21/2007)
Question: hello I am a fully licensed and insured household goods carrier with 23 years experience. Do you have loading and unloading help? Can a semi fit inot both your locations? We can also transport your car along with the rest of your items. Thnx Ron (1/22/2007)
Response: Oh, and a semi is not a problem. (1/22/2007)
Question: I have 8 years in the moving field and would be willing to drive a rental truck with a car carrier across country for you...I can arange loading and unloading help on both ends also...I would just have to be flown back unless I find a shipment coming this way. Is this something you would be interested in I have a website and reffs also...thanks (1/22/2007)
Response: Yes, I am interested...I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus (4 door). Other than airfare, how much would you charge? My furniture inventory is on my profile. Thanks! (1/22/2007)
Question: Hello our trailers are 53ft long 9ft high by 6ft wide on the inside of trailer. Our trailers come fully equipped with ramps, straps, dollies, and furniture blankets. For 30ft of space your car included in this 30ft I can do this for $4460.00. We do require a deposit if price is accepted. Thnx Ron (1/22/2007)
Response: I have found a cheaper deal, but thank you very much for your time on this! (1/22/2007)
Question: Also our trailers are airride. Thnx Ron (1/22/2007)
Question: Ok Thank you...best wishes with your move. Thnx Ron (1/22/2007)
Question: If u cover my airfare back to portland maine I would do the job for 1300(300 will go to labor on each end to help me load and unload. This is a really great price to get your things across the country..You also would have to take care of the moving truck expenses and 3 nights hotel(hotels prob run from 50-100 night) I looked on uhaul and a 24' truck with car hauler is 1363 one way(plus fuel). Still a great deal compared to the big guys. Let me know if we are on and I will place bid thanks (1/22/2007)
Response: Thanks for your help but I found a lower bid. Thanks for taking the time to price your services for me! (1/22/2007)
Question: we could also knock the price down some if we can find other shipments to put on (1/22/2007)
Question: Thanks for your bid request. We would like to present several options for you. #1) We can move everything including the car for you for $3000. #2) You can rent a truck with a car trailer and we would provide a very experienced driver to drive it across the country for you. You would cover the cost of truck rental (about $900-$1500). We would pay for the fuel. This option would be $1000. #3) We would provide a driver to drive the car across the country for you for $600 and you can use the big companies to move the household goods. With all three options, our driver would help pack, load and unload if needed. Although we are new to Uship, we have drivers with years of long distance experience and have clean driving records. Thanks for the opportunity to help make your move easier and without worries. -Tom with XpertTransport. (1/25/2007)
Response: That sounds great! I like option 2 the best...I will rent a truck w/ car trailer. You tack on $1000. Are there any other expenses that would occur other than that? Also, when would you need a specific date? I am looking to move during the first week of April but I can pinpoint a date if you need it now. If my date fell on a Saturday or Sunday, would that cost more? How many days would it take your driver to get there (so I know when I need to book my flight)? I do not need any help loading/unloading. Thank you! Sunny (1/25/2007)
Question: I checked rental prices with car carrier, I could provide the rental car carrier, fuel, transportation, to p/u and d/o, and all other expenses, for $3462.89. Check my profile. Before you accept any carrier, ask for their DOT and MC#, tax id and insurance. Then verify on the internet thru Safer web, under licensing and insurance. Make sure the Co. name they gave you is the same one, and that it says Yes under household and cargo insurance. A legitimate company, will have this info, even if renting a truck, the reason they have you rent the truck is so they can circumvent the law. Legally, they can't move you, without this info. If renting a truck, make sure the rental agreement shows that you have cargo insurance. Do not accept any contract, unless it reads, final price, no other charges apply. Too many scammers, quote 1 price and at the end find reasons to charge more before releasing your goods. Thank you for your consideration. Tom (1/26/2007)
Question: With our bids, everything is all inclusive. If you use rental trucks, some items are not covered by their insurance. Vehicles (motorcycles) inside the truck for example are not covered and you would need to purchase special cargo insurance for those items. We can help you with the cargo insurance if needed. We have found U-Haul to be the most unreliable and the most unfriendly when things go wrong and we can never recommend them. As far as our schedule goes, our truck may not be available at that time, as it will be in Alaska. If you choose to use a rental truck our driver can be there any time it is convenient for you. Thanks - XpertTransport. (1/26/2007)
Response: Hi, did you receive my last e-mail? (1/30/2007)
Question: Sorry...No email has been received. uShip prohibits direct contact by email. (1/30/2007)
Response: Just a few questions...what is your DOT, MC#, tax id? Can you give me more details on the insurance that you do provide and how I would determine the cost? Also, do you give a final price in the contract? I have read that the price can shoot way up if it's not in the contract. Thanks! (2/1/2007)
Question: Just to let you know, Penske, will rent you a 26' truck and car carrier for About $1600 with liability and cargo insurance and blankets and dollies. They are currently the least expensive rental. Also If you wanted to drive with the rental, I would have no problem with that, might save you some expense for a plane tcket, for yourself avg. motel prices are about $50-$60 per night. (1/31/2007)
Response: I am still interested in your bid...sorry you never got my note from last week. What is your DOT, MC# and tax id? Also, what all can you cover on insurance? How much would that add to the bill? Do you have an contract that you can e-mail to me? [email removed] Thanks!! (1/31/2007)
Question: Check my profile. I am not allowed by Uship to contact you thru any other venue. You must accept a bid 1st. Then Uship will send you my phone number etc.. (1/31/2007)
Question: Once you have checked me out, let me know if you want to rent vehicle and pay expenses yourself, or if you want me to do this. Then I will submit bid. Uship charges 7.9%, and I don't want to pay more than necessary. Once you accept the bid, we can talk, then if for some reason you decide not to go with me, you can retract, and continue on with the process. (1/31/2007)
