Hello Shilpa, What is the earliest date for pickup and earliest for delivery? Also is all your inventory listed? Thank youReport a Violation
Response: We are going to get the apartment in Chicago by the 7/24. So the earliest that this can be picked up would be 7/25. The earliest it could be dropped off would be 7/28. All the large items have been listed and I have posted pictures of all of them to give an idea of what we are moving. We are not fully done packing yet so we may end up adding another 5-7 boxes and 1 wardrobe box6/29/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Ok Just need to be certain on your inventory as we will be loading 2 apts in 1 truck for this move. So please list everything including vacuums rugs, pictures, mirrors, tv, hampers all of this is important so we can calculate the space needed. Thank you! Response: : Shilpa, One more question, Are their any building and parking restrictions at either location?7/1/2012Report a Violation
Response: Hi Jill There are no restrictions in weehawken. I just need to work With the property manager on scheduling the move date to Make sure that no one else is moving. There is a gated garage you Can pull into that and the building entrance s right across from The elevator in weehawken. I'll speak with the mgmt company for restrictions in Chicago. The Only ones that I was aware of if that we have to provide a fixed date And it should be weekend. I think it may be street parking once In Chicago and not sure if we need some sort of permit. I think both buildings prob have a time restriction that you cannot Be moving late into the evening/night. I will get more details from Chicago mgmt company by tomorrow and send Those to you. Response: : Great Thank you7/1/2012Report a Violation
Response: Hi Jill - I am still waiting to hear back from the contact at the mgmt company in Chicago. I'm not sure if he is on vacation this week, but hopefully we will hear back this week. Would it be possible for you to provide a quote and pick-up and drop-off dates with the information that you already have? Shilpa Hi Jill I just heard back from the building contact. Their preference is actually that we move in on a weekday - NOT weekend since it is least disruptive to residents and to minimize that truck does not block garages. Move in hrs in Chicago are from 10am - 4pm on weekdays. The truck can be parked in the street and don't need a permit to park. There is also a back alley that can be used, but it may be really tight depending on the size of the truck. Please let us know what the move will cost as well as dates when you can pick-up drop-off since I have to inform management company for both buildings 14 days in advance of the move thanks! Response: : Hello Shilpa, Sorry I was out all day I did check yours last night and saw no comments except to another mover, I will review all the details you posted and figure the schedule and place a bid by tomorrow. Thank you once again Jill7/3/2012Report a Violation
Question:
7/2/2012
Shilpa what is your budget for this move? Blue Star Moving & Storage.Report a Violation
Response: Hi, we don't have a max per se and are looking at whatever bids we get7/2/2012Report a Violation
Question:
7/4/2012
Shilpa, I will place a bid with all details tonight and you will still have 24 hours after your auction ends to choose, I read all the details and will define them all in my bid, So please check back later tonight Thank you JillReport a Violation
Response: Hi Jill Thanks! While you are preparing your bid, I have 3 additional questions below as well: - Do you have and can provide a certificate of insurance? Both mgmt companies have asked for it - In terms on delivery on a fixed/pre-determined date, in your cross-country moves how accurate have you been to get the truck at the delivery location that date? Again the Condo board in Chicago is being a stickler for dates, so I want to know that the shipment will arrive on date specified - This not necessary - but do you offer short term storage (like a few days)? Just in case the date we decide on in Chicago is already booked at the building for another move, if we have to move the date by a few days is that ok? We would tell you as soon we have a confirmed date in advance (before you even pick-up the items)7/4/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Hi Shilpa, Yes we can send the COI to the building. We can make an exact date and we have been working under exact dates in the US for 9 yrs now with fortune 500 companies. So I will give you a choice of 2 days for pickup and 2 days for delivery in the time span you want and then you can choose, Our bid is going to be higher then the other one you are working with so if you want to work with them that is fine It is very easy for them to cancel their bid and rebid with the new price and details. You can easily call uship for any questions. Good Luck on your move!7/4/2012Report a Violation
Response: Hi Jill - I have not accepted their bid and I am not looking to pick a company based on price only which I did indicate in an earlier question asked to me by one of the bidders. I've been communicating with them and asking them the same questuons I asked you. If you can give us 2 day windows for pick-up and delivery it takes a lot of the stress of the move. We are willing to pay more if the mover is reliable and they have the necessary paperwork in order. So I would at least want to know what your bid would be so that we can pick the mover we feel most comfortable with. thanks, Shilpa7/4/2012Report a Violation
Response: : OK, I'll go through our schedule and place a bid please note that you can accept anybid up to 24 hours after your posting ends. I noticed someone has flagged your other questions. So we can only write in what is accepted by Uship rules. Sorry we are not allowed to offer too much information until after you accept a movers bid. 7/4/2012Report a Violation
Question:
7/4/2012
Hello Shilpa, happy 4th, we have looked over your move and we might be able to help you with this. We can show proff of Ins. to whom may need to see it. Also if a pickup on the 25th and delivery on Friday 27th would work, we could place a bid. However dates would have to be firm, with pickup and delivery Hrs. fixed so we could not hold on to your items. We have another pickup to get. Thats already booked. If any of this makes sense let us know we will place a bid. Thanks for your time and thoughtsReport a Violation
