Question: When do you need this done? Are you familiar with what customs will requireof you? Thanks. (4/23/2008)

Response: Hello, we're looking at a move in mid-June. I know that customs need a full inventory of what we're shipping, and that we've to meet the truck driver at the local customs office to release the items. Hope that answers it. Thanks! (4/23/2008)

Response: As long as you have provided your form B4 to Canadian customs when you enter, the driver does not have to meet you at all but has to have a PARS label to go with your shipment. I am moving a family to Calagary on mid May and antoher to NS on June. How firm are your dates? Thanks. (4/26/2008)

Response: I'll be filing for my work permit in a couple weeks at the border, on our way to finding a place to live. Once that happens, the date will become more firm. I am giving my 2-month notice as of May 1st, so I've to be out of here by July 1st, for sure, but it also depends on when I've to occupy the new place in Oakville. I'll probably hand over my 'goods-to-follow' list when I apply for the work permit. Thanks. (4/26/2008)

Response: Do you have a employer helping you with the visa? Visas can be tricky. I am comitted to move a family on June 29, from Georgia to Washington. And I have move pending from Tennessee to NS for early June but it may get posponed again because of construction. How soon can you accept a bid? (4/26/2008)

Response: Yes, it's an intra-company transfer under NAFTA. Once I get a place to live, I can choose dates, and be in a position to accept a bid. Thanks. (4/26/2008)

Response: Thanks for writting back prontly it sure makes my work much easier! Congrats in you job transfer I find Ontario very charming and people very polite. Can I make a bid with the understanding that until you make your decision your dates are not firm? There is just no much space in June. I am open in July for now. Thanks. (4/26/2008)

Response: Well, I will be aiming for a June timeline, so I'm not sure what to say...It would be good to have a bid. I'll be in touch as soon as I find something out. Thanks! (4/26/2008)

Response: I am sorry I did not explain myself well. I only have one truck and a driver, myself. So if I place a bid for a time frame, I have to keep it open and not bid on other jobs for the same time frame and because it is the high season and I only have few days free in June, I am hesitant of bidding until I know that you can really accept. Customs paperwork has a tendency to take longer and I can not afford to hold myself up. I would like to move you and if you read my feedback I take care of my customer’s things and their schedule. I could do a bid without a comitment on dates so that you get an idea of what I offer. Would you like that? (4/26/2008)

Response: One more thing...just wanted you to be aware that I unfortunately won't have any help loading or unloading, so you can make sure you account for that. Thanks. (4/26/2008)

Response: Thanks. Please notice why I do not choose "full service". I have uship customers who can help me with finding help in Toronto and I have good help in PA and NY. (4/26/2008)

Response: Thanks for the bid. I will probably only be able to make to the border on the 9th, so is it ok if I ask you to bid again at that point (since your bid expires in 10 days)?
(4/26/2008)

Response: I gave you the longest time uShip allows. Yes I can bid again. My truck does 8-10 miles per gallon if fuel jumps when you are ready, I will have to make an adjustment but once a bid is accepted price is tied. Take a look at Diesel prices today. (4/26/2008)

Response: No problem. I understand. I might pre-pone my trip to Canada to this coming weekend, just so I'll have some dates in mind quicker. Thanks. (4/27/2008)

Response: Thank you. I will be in PA in 3-4 days and in Toronto in 5-6. I know that I will not be moving you just now. (4/30/2008)

Response: What is your availability between June 12 & June 16? Thanks! (5/1/2008)

Response: I have an accepted bid to move a family from Tennessee to NS, Canada in early June and they do not have much stuff but iI am moving their car also. It will be ideal if you could come along. I load you last and unload you first!! I have other things to take thru Canada if thhis family gets delayed but I think they will find some placeto store it because they are anxious to get their stuff. (5/1/2008)

Response: Sounds good. I'll be in touch on Monday possibly, if we find a place, and fix a move date. When you say early June, is it a fixed date or flexible upto a certain point? I'll be traveling, and need to schedule correctly so my pregnant wife (and 14-month old son) won't be alone during this. :) Thanks. (5/1/2008)

Response: If they are not ready I have enough from other cutomers to go thru Canada with your stuff so you can be sure of your time. Congrats on another child!! (5/1/2008)

Response: Thanks. Tomorrow is an exciting day...we're headed to Oakville, and will apply for the work permit on the way. Should have an address by Monday, if everything goes according to plan. (5/2/2008)

Response: Good luck in your quest. Let me know what happens!! (5/3/2008)

Response: The home-owner in Oakville is in Mexico, so it's taking an extra day or so to get the lease agreement to him. I'd rather wait till he signs the agreement before accepting your bid. Since your bid expires in about 15 minutes, could you please make another bid, taking into account the current diesel prices? Thanks! (5/6/2008)

Response: Sorry I did not write sooner. I been on the road and m ywireless not working. I am in Carlisle and have to be in DC at 1 a.m. and finally got my new Sprint wireless card working. It is been a nighmare with the other card. I will rebid. Can you tell me the fix dates for your move? How about the amount of things. Are there changes? Thanks.and it is 1 .am. (5/7/2008)

Response: Well, the move-in date is now fixed - June 10th. Please let me know if you can make the date. Like I said before, we can load up on the 9th so that delivery can be made on the 10th, if that works better, or do it all on the 10th. Thanks. (5/8/2008)

Response: I was going to write you because my customer moving from TN to NS (http://www.uship.com/shipment/Furniture-to-Canada/122158051/) just wrote asking if I could move them June 3-4. They have very little (I am bringing their car). I could load them first, then you, head to Toronto and continue to NS. Please let me know if this will work and I will re-bid. (5/9/2008)

Response:
I was just going to write you now because my customer moving from TN to NS (uship is holding up my first response over this contact info) has asked me if I could move them June 3-4. They have very little (I am bringing their car). I could load them first, then you, head to Toronto and continue to NS. Please let me know if this will work and I will re-bid.
(5/9/2008)

Response: I'm ok with being loaded in last. My question is, if you load them June 3-4, what day does that mean for me, as far as dates go? Thanks. (5/9/2008)

Response: I will load you on the 9th as ou want or earlier if you were ready.
From PA to the border with a large truck takes more than a day. If you have pets let me know so I will reserve the space. A medium or two small ones go free. (5/9/2008)

Response: Excellent! June 9th is perfect. No pets, only a kid, and he'll ride with us. :)
How much space will you need for the truck? We'll have to ask our apartment neighbors to leave the parking spaces open outside. Thanks! (5/9/2008)

Response: 36ft plus ramp 8ft. Park vehicles the nigth before!!Will bid later. (5/9/2008)
