Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello. I have truck in LA today and tomorrow. I can load you anytime, wrapped, secured. We will wrap all furniiture, artwork if any, framed items. Is this ready to go? Truck is here. Please let me know.. Thank you. Alex. PS we are based in Manchester, NH. (10/15/2009)
Response: I wish it was ready, but unfortunately no. Thanks so much though! (10/15/2009)
Response: OK, We are here pretty often, so, next transport will be here November 3rd -7th in that window. We can make it work later. If dates are working for you we can load you then. Thank you. Alex. (10/15/2009)
Response: That time frame sounds just about perfect! As I haven't finished packing, my box count is only an estimate (hopefully an overestimate), but could you give me a ballpark as to what you think it might cost? Thanks so much! (10/15/2009)
Response: Good Morning. Well, honestly, you have pretty large inventory, couches and stuff, its all take space, boxes are ok, so far just by looking on it, its good 12-15ft of the truck, maybe little more, all depends. OK, question. Can we pull in to your house with semi 18th wheeler? and same thing with NJ. Some areas , well, actually in most areas in LA we will need to rent a smaller truck to bring all the stuff to the big truck, simply because we can get in to your location. Again, if all OK, and its house on pretty large street and same thing in NJ we OK. One more thing. How far are appartment from the area when we can park our truck, I mean, we can walk all day between truck and your place. Can you time the distance between the appartment and area when we can park our truck? Just some important things that take time. After all the info I will know more/less whats the deal. But if all perfect I would say we some around 2,5k range. but again, its with me. Thank you. Alex. (10/15/2009)
Response: In LA, I live near the 405/101 intersection and on a major street, so you can pull a semi up in front of the bldg. there are no stairs to my apt, as I live on the first floor and there is an elevator in the bldg which is how everything got in to begin with. If you prefer there is a back door which is closer to the back alley of the building, but there is approx one flight of steps down to the alley. In NJ, you can pull a semi up to the house and unload into the garage directly. No steps or anything - that should be a piece of cake. I think the baby grand may need to be left in a storage position, since I don't know where I'm going to be yet (I'm unloading at my parents house). Anything I can do to bring the cost down is good as that is my biggest constraint. I don't need everything to go in one shipment and I am going to try to sell as much as possible before I leave. Thanks! (10/15/2009)
Response: OK, Lets put it this way. Try to list items that GO for sure, and some items that maybe left. And by the way check out what we do on web so you will have idea how it will be done. I will have truck back here in Nov 3rd -7th, so, If you will be ready by that time, I would gladly load you and deliver it for you. I am in Venice, CA now, leaving tonight for Boston. I could stop by to take a pic on what you have. Thank you. Alex. (10/15/2009)
Response: I was just thinking that if you are going anyway and you have room - I do have a bunch of furniture and boxes that are ready. I don't know if that is better or worse for you to split the load so that you can at least take advantage of trying to travel with a full truck. I am around most of the day- though I have to run out to walk the dogs and run to the grocery store, both of which should be quick, but other than that...I'm around. Thanks so much! ps- If you think it's cheaper to move all at once, I will email you pix at some point soon. (10/15/2009)
Response: HI. I mean I can load some stuff today. Its not a problem, honestly. All depends what is ready. We definately can split the load. Let me know what ready today. I am here. Thank you. Alex. (10/15/2009)
Response: the piano is ready to go - it needs to be put on a board. it's an antique, symmetrical, baby grand, so it's small, but curved on both sides. i can send the dining table, 8 chairs, a teak dresser (the legs have been removed), the couch and chair (both are really light weight), a wood bench, a vanity (light weight) w/ a mirror), and probably about 10-15 boxes. i might be able to pack some other stuff depending on when you want to come by. also, the seat cushion are removable from all the chairs, please let me know if i should pack those separately. oh, i also have a small settee that is not functional, but is light that i would like to send as well. please let me know if you think it's a better idea to split the load; if it might save me some money; and the best way to insure and pay for this shipment if you come pick it up today. thanks so much! best, kim (10/15/2009)
Response: OK, I can load you today, how heavy the piano is? And we definately can split the load. I am ready today any time. 2 guys here. Not sure aboat board, will see. Any way I can take a look on it? (10/15/2009)
Response: have no idea how heavy the piano is - it's a mason and hamlin symmetrical baby grand. it's under 5', so whatever the typical is - would be my guess. i thought pianos had to travel on their side? i thought it wasn't good for them to travel in a 'playable' position. if you do a google search for mason & hamlin symmetrical baby grand - that will be the exact piano - it's black lacquer. i can email you pics direct if that's easier. do you want to send me an email? (10/15/2009)
Response: OK, I can be there at 405/101 in about 1-3 hrs. I have smeller truck here, with lift gate. I can place a partial bid now, so we can exchange info, and one more thing, where those stuff go in NJ, is there place for that when I get there. Check me out on web, what we do. Thank you. Alex. (10/15/2009)
Response: yes, there is a place for the stuff in nj. most of it will go in a garage (attached to a house). they may want the piano set up - i am not sure, but it's up to them. if they do- it's up 3 steps from the garage or 4 from the driveway. thanks! (10/15/2009)
Response: HI, I want to take a pic on total inventory, so I will have idea what we dealing with. Just to have full picture and then I will submit a formal bid. Thank you. Alex. I can head out your way any time from Now. (10/15/2009)
Response: hi, i have no prob w/ that. my only concern is that i also have a bid for just over $2000 and since cost is my main concern (well, along with the obvious concerns of my belongings getting to nj w/o damage); I don't want you to go out of your way if it's going to be more than $2500. All things considered, in my research I would rather use your company, but there is a limit to what I can afford (unfortunately for me). If that works for you - please feel free to come by any time that works for you as i'm home all day. I'm not sure how to proceed from here - do I need to accept a bid that you submit for us to exchange info? thanks, kim (10/15/2009)
Response: HI, About lower bids, you never know who they are and no legal numbers, just an middle man, but, I can do this. I can submit a bid of lets say, 850 now, honestly, I dont believe we will go over 2.5k, probably somewhere 2.3k, So, its kind of risky for me, to go low and then run in to dificulties. Any chanse I can take a look on it first? Just to have at least idea of whole move. Just an estimate? Like sometime later on in littlebit. We do alot of work and we are on the web too. Just things we do. Thank you. Alex. (10/15/2009)
Response: hi, yes, i realize all the drawbacks. i just want to be upfront about where i'm coming from and what i'm looking for and i appreciate your candor as far as cost. as long as you think my inventory (listed), should be doable for about 2.5k, that works for me. anytime today is fine as my building has no restrictions. parking may be a little more difficult after work hours, but there is an alley just behind the building and from my apt the alley is close and about 1 flight of steps down to the alley (it's a split flight, so only about 4 or 5 steps at a time). there is one corner that is tight, but none of the furniture is too large so it shouldn't be a problem. thanks! -kim (10/15/2009)
Response: OK then, I am going to place a bid 850 now. And rest of it we will talk about it when I will get there today in cpl hours. so, totals will be just under or 2.5k and I will take today some stuff whats ready and rest of it in 2-3 weeks. (10/15/2009)
Response: great! thanks! (10/15/2009)
