Question: Hello - listing indicates item is "palletized" ... is this correct & if so what are the overall shipping dims / wt ?? ... THX (6/24/2008)

Response: I only know it's a 650. I don't know if that will help. I was told that two pallets would suffice and then tie everything off so it doesn't move. I hope that will suffice, I'm new at this so I'm not sure. Hope this answers your question, I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks (6/26/2008)

Response: understand & thought I would ask first ... would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure bike to suitable skid / long pallet or crate base so as to be acceptable for common carrier service? ... THX (6/24/2008)

Response: Yes, he said he would help (6/26/2008)

Response: FYI - a long pallet or shipping skid if made up, must be sufficiently large / long enough so as to accommodate bike as placed & secured with no overhang ... often (2)standard 4-way pallets “strong backed” together as one will work with (4)ratchet tie down straps cross fastened to bike being anchored to pallet stringers with sufficient tension to compress bike's suspension so as to maintain constant resistance tension during transit and terminal handling ... bike to be on center stand if fitted or weight bearing center frame stabilizing brace set up ... fuel to be drained down / gas free & battery (if applicable) disconnected ... any additional parts or accessories to be boxed up & secured to same pallet ... also, local bike dealers will often have used / salvaged crate bases which may be acquired ... (am told Harley OEM crate pans are the best for re-use) ... let me know if doable by the shipper as a common carrier dosen't do this & will then consider ... THX (6/26/2008)

Response: He has told me he will assist however, and knows about the (is it chock and strap?)system. The bike is a 650 if that helps any, I don't have anything else...first timer, I didn't know what to ask. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you. (6/26/2008)

Response: FYI – as per uShip rules, bid rated all inclusive per posting info: “Residential to Residential” with Liftgate service at curbside for both ... Shipper (consignor) to load item onto liftgate & Consignee to unload same from liftgate ... bike to be placed & secured upright to suitable long pallet / skid or used crate base and must be within the footprint thereof not overhanging ... fuel to be drained / gas free & battery (if applicable) disconnected ... Do you have any questions or require rate and/or service clarification?? ... If so, then please ask before accepting ... THX (P.S. - Significant cost savings can often be realized by consignee picking-up shipment at carrier’s terminal location to avoid residential, limited access and/or liftgate accessorial charges ... Terminal location for shipment’s destination within 22 miles of ZIP 91773 ... advise if this would be a preferable option to consider and can re-bid to suit.) (6/26/2008)

Response: I would require door to door, so I need an adjusted bidding price I guess. I was hoping to get this picked up by Saturday, tomorrow, and reach me in 3-4 days. Would this be doable? I need to let my seller know, he has someone staying at the house all day Saturday. I think the bid was accepted two days ago, so I hope we can make this. It's for a birthday present. Thanks (6/27/2008)

Response: understand however the earliest to book a truck for would be for Tuesday the 1st providing we get all adminstrative details completed without undue delay ... would the shipper or consignor give weekend to get bike prepped properly, etc. ... shipment would be residential to residential with lifgate ... THX (6/27/2008)

Response: Unfortunately he will be on vacation, I believe the bike is prepped but I'll be sure to ask him. Do I decline since you'll not be available, I will look again. (6/27/2008)

Question: Hello, What is your preferred time-frame? Thanks, Matt(Wolverine Transport)
(6/26/2008)

Response: Preferably tomorrow Friday 6/27, or the next day Saturday 6/28 (the seller has someone staying at the location all day Saturday). If not then I don't know if you ship on Sunday, but seems like Monday 6/30 would be the next best thing. Hope you can work this out, hope to hear from you. Thanks (6/26/2008)

Response: My apologies; but I am completely booked until early July. Let me know if you still need help by then. Thanks, Matt(WolverineTransport) (6/26/2008)

Response: Thanks, I guess we'll see. (6/26/2008)
