Question: I do have an opening for this run very shortly for a drive service that I myself would do and I could give you a great rate but there are several stops along the way with my other truck. If this is acceptable to you let me know right away. I am departing for NC here in the next few days from the NW and can fit her in if you wish. (10/28/2008)

Response: How much will the shipment cost?? (10/28/2008)

Response: If you can tell me what kind of driveline she has and the miles and condition I can make a good quote for you (engine type and size, transmission, brake type). What I have is a series of goods that is being dropped off at my place in MT from out of the country that is bound for Cali as well but I am currently heading out for the NC area to do other pick ups also bound for the NW and Cali. If this can work for you and you can get me that info I need I can make you a real good deal since eventually I have to go that way from NC. (10/28/2008)

Response: HI ,it has a 7.5 liter v8 engine automatic trans ,and front disk rear drum brakes (10/28/2008)

Response: She is a 460 gas? How does she run? (10/28/2008)

Response: Hi yes it is a gas engine it has 31000 miles on it and runs fine (10/28/2008)

Response: My guestimate is she gets about 6-8 mpg (I used to have a 460 in old 1 ton truck). My best quote would be right 2200.00. That would be fully maintained (oil change, tire and fluid service) and insured. You can check on my previous history on all the drive away services I did on larger units and RVs. I have had great sucess with the service. Once I get to the WY/MT area she would be staged at my storage place over there until I complete all the NW deliveries to keep the miles down on her, then I would head to my place to gather the Cali goods coming in from Canada and then head to you from there. I have to go to both places anyway so I figured I would give you a better rate to compensate for the delay while I am NW. (10/28/2008)

Response: When could you have it here? Im not really in a rush.. Is that the bottom line price ..let me know. Thanks Steve (10/28/2008)

Response: I will be heading out of here to NC from MT to do my runs there and then back to the NW and then down to you. My guestimate on a timeframe would be in end of Nov to beginning days of Dec, depending on how long it takes for the load to come in from Canada. If I am selected I would have my hands on your RV within the next 10 days. I am allowing extra time for the bad weather I am anticipating along the way, logbook restart and whatnot. I wish I could drop my price more but I have to cover fuel costs, ins, maint, incidentals. Keep in mind also...I don't use my client's vehicles for anything other the actual transport. Lodging and meals are covered by me outside of your vehicle. The amount I bid is also not the amount I get. You'll find more info on that topic in the user agreement or on the forum pages. They don't allow us to talk about that in the Q&A board. You'd be in great hands. (10/29/2008)

Question: Just a quick heads up on the price issue we touched on......The last RV I did here on this site was a diesel pusher that considerably better mileage than the 460 gas would get and I did that job for 2500.00. I just went through the paperwork on that one and the mileage was about the same and she consumed about 1700.00 in fuel with no repair issues. Mind you with a gasser the mpg would be considerably less for the same amount of miles so I am putiing the fuel costs to be very close if not over also considering the cost of fuel has gone down. I'd love to be of service but we have to at least cover the fuel and incidentals. Please let me know as soon as you can I can make this work for you. (10/29/2008)

Response: Id like for you to ship it how do we proceed??
(10/29/2008)

Response: Thanks. I will enter my bid and you can review it thoroughly to make sure we agree on everything. If you are satisfied with everything you see you can click on accept where all contact info will be exchanged. You can either email me or call me direct if it is not too late where you are and we can hammer out the remaining details. (10/29/2008)
