I'd need transportation from my home to the bus station, then bus ticket to Raleigh, then be picked up at the Raleigh bus station, be able to drive the car to MS, taken back to the Meridian bus station and a ticket to Charlotte or my local station a ride from the local bus station to my home. Alot of misc expenses. If you can cover all that and the total would NOT be that high,(I'd need to just calculate) and the gas, I could be around $650 for the 30 hour or more trip. (12/11/2006)

My offer would be for enclosed transport by a fully insured, legally licensed, US DOT compliant motor carrier. I need adequate space and access to load for a 56' truck trailer combination. All my trailers have winches to load inoperative vehicles. Please review my profile and obtain my DOT & MC numbers. You can go to the government web site at..http://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx.. and verify my US DOT authority and insurance. I hope you'll consider all aspects of my offer before making your final decision. I would be pleased to provide the service but if you opt to go with another, I sincerely wish you the best with your shipment. I do recommend using a legal, insured carrier. Question: Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, I didn't receive it in time or I would have been pleased to transport your 'Vette. I unloaded Thursday morning and departed the area. I'm now about 800 miles away so obviously I can't offer the same price nor could I give you an exact delivery date. I'm sure you'll get some fair and reasonable offers to transport your Corvette. I do strongly recommend you use a US DOT motor carrier that is authorized for hire and has the appropriate and required insurance. Question: Im in Denver Co right now with a uship load, I won't be back east for about two weeks. It will only take me two days to deliver car. I do have insurance through Shelter Ins. Company but I don't have DOT numbers. I run a single pickup with a single car trailer. With hauling one item at a time I don't have to have DOT, under legth and weight requirements, but I am fully licensed and insured. If I hauled multiple cargo then I would be required to have DOT but I would also have to charge a lot more. Jim (1/18/2007)
