Additional Information: Need to move a 26 ft Rinker with no trailer from Lake Norfork in AR to Ft Walton Beach, FL. We do not have a trailer for it. Also want lift removed from current dock in AR and replaced on dock in FL if possible. Sorry I don't have a picture of it but can provide if needed. Distance is approximately 500 miles. Thanks! Question: Let see if I understand you...You want a transporter to remove the lift in Arkansas and put it on your dock in Florida? How heavy is the lift? How big is the lift? How does is the lift secured? Pictures of the lift would be very helpful. The boat transport will cost about 2000.00, as for the lift, it would all depend of the dimensions, weight and labor needed to remove and install. (5/7/2008)
Response: You do understand me correctly. I have called Fout Boat Dock but they are only opened on Th, F, Sa and Sun. I will get the info you requested ASAP. The lift is a hydrolic lift that uses air to lift out of the water. There would be considerable weight to it since it is a metal platform on which you drive your boat onto and air drives it up and down. Will try to get a photo of it possibly this weekend and will post it to the site or forward to you. (5/7/2008)
Response: You will not find a transport company who will move the lift for you. We are not qualified to perform such tasks. Most transporters are alone, this will require at least 3-4 men to move the dock. As for the boat, we do have a boat trailer for your use. We even have trailers for sale if you wanted to buy a trailer for your boat. Our price includes everything(insurance, tolls, etc...) (5/7/2008)
Response: Hi. My wife has been handling this, so I'm not sure what has been discussed. She's not available till later today. Does your bid include driving the boat to the nearest boat ramp for pickup in Missouri, and driving from nearest boat ramp to Marina in Florida? Yes, we're still considering your bid. Just don't know if we can have the boat ready to move on Friday. It was winterized and hasn't been started since last fall. We're going to forget about moving the lift. It won't work in the salt water of Florida anyway. Thanks (5/8/2008)
