Question: i dont put formal bids in until i make sure the customer and i are in agreement. i try to get everyone on the same page so i can get my trailer loaded. i cant compete with some transporters on this website cause some transporters on here dont have federal authority to transport vehicle and they under bid the ones that do. without federal authority, they cant carry insurance to protect your car and they are risking your property. so i ask the customer if price is right and how soon they want delivery and then i put all the formal bids in and fill my trailer. that way with a full trailer i can still make alittle bit of money. i just wanted to make sure the price is right with you. if i put a bid in on your car and you accept and my others decided not to have their cars shipped, then i have to deliver your car alone and lose money. thats all (1/10/2007)

Question: Thank you for your response and explanation. And unfortunately you're correct. My bid is higher because my operational costs prohibit me from competing with illegal haulers and brokers. But I am a legal motor carrier and my cargo insurance automatically covers your vehicle. You may find some of your offers are neither insured or legal.
