Question: Hello there.I can handle this easily within two weeks. I am running four other boats at this time, carry $60k full coverage commercial insurance on your boat and trailer, DOT compliant, and would tow this unit. Please reveiew profile and 100% feedback. Thank you. Rob. Rknrobstransport. (3/22/2008)
Question: Hello. I am based here in Phoenix. What part of BC this going to. I just delivered to Nanaimo & Vancouver this week. Can deliver to Canada for you as well. Seeing that you are from Canada I would suggest you read the uShip user agreement paragraph 11,14,15 so you have an understanding of what is required to ship your boat across statelines. We are a LEGAL AND FULLY INSURED CARRIER. You can verify my authority (what makes us legal) or any one elses authority by going to www.safersys.org and entering there MC#. An Active MC# will show they are legal and insured. Look forward to your reply. Thanks. (3/22/2008)
Response: It is going to Whiterock BC, I am just 5 miles over the border. I I have brought a boat into Canada 2 times before and its easy, I dont mind doing it myself. If you feel your competitve please make a bid. I will be deciding this weekend. (3/22/2008)
Response: I see you declined a $1900 bid so we would be even more then that. We charge $2300 from Phoenix to Blaine but it seems like you are looking for the cheapest price. Like I said we are LEGAL. You can verify our insurance and authority to transport across state lines. There is no way we can do cheaper. The diesel alone will run $775 to haul the boat. (3/22/2008)
Response: No I am not looking for the cheapest, I am declining a bid for $1400. But I am not looking for the most expensive either. Thanks for your bid and good luck. (3/22/2008)
Question: Are your ready to accept a bid I can bid your boat for $1400. if your flexiable with pickup/ dropoff dates round the end of April I will post my bid for 3 days (please check my feedback) these are back hauls .. Please understand I need a bid acceptances asap we need to set these routes up in a early window so I can make alitte money on them fuel is high the trick is stay loaded there and back.I will deliver your load on time washed & clean if your interested just need to know asap .I come out of Michigan I run a F350 diesel dually the right truck for this job .. Thanks for the reply .. rippin1 (3/22/2008)
Question: Sorry that the best I can do. The boat and trailer close to 6,000 lbs, a 1700 mile trip and fuel over 4 bucks a gallon. Good Luck beware of cheap!!!!!! Thanks walbert52 (3/22/2008)
Response: Thanks but I have lots of cheaper bids with good feedback and insurance (3/22/2008)
Response: Thanks take care (3/22/2008)
Question: I have a bid in to you, Did you read my profile?...Discounts.. (3/26/2008)
Response: I am trying to get the price down. I have 2 other bids $1300 &1400. If you can match, I'll go with you. (3/26/2008)
Response: Sorry, I can't go any lower. (3/26/2008)
Response: Interested in bidding. its ready to move. (4/9/2008)
Response: I would like to transport for you out but I am booked for about 3 weeks out. Thanks (4/9/2008)
Response: No problem, thanks for the quick response. mark (4/9/2008)
Question: hello, do you know what condition the trailer is in as far as tires and whether the bearings have been greased and maintained? (3/26/2008)
Response: Trailer is in perfect condition. it was recently serviced at the dealer. (3/26/2008)
Question: I just now got home from Wa pulling a RVthere. If you can get a TSP transport for less than a $ 1.00 Per Mile I guess you should. I paid as high as $ 4.30 PG. Thank you for your request. Ron (3/26/2008)
Question: Hi there! Have you found a service provider? If not we may be interested in doing this. How much insurance is required to haul this for you? Hope we can work something out. We will give you a competative bid if we can! Thanx - WehaulUsmile (3/26/2008)
Response: $25,000 insurance required. (3/26/2008)
Question: Hello sir. I have rebid for your Sleekcraft. I have two other boats travelling from San Dieago to Canada and should be finished with those within fifteen days. I would be able to service your boat within four weeks. This could possibly be less if I transport it between the two from San Diego north which is entirely possible-I can be flexible in this way as I have gained an excellent customer base. My bid is for $1500 to me, the extra is the Uship match cost that they keep. Thank you, Rob.R.R.Transport (4/5/2008)
Response: Hi I am looking to have the boat transported here sometime before April 26th. I dont understand what you mean by Uship match cost. (4/5/2008)
Response: No problem with timing on this. The "match cost" is what uship charges that is billed directly to you. That is the money they keep. You then pay me the remainder upon delivery which is $1500. Thank you for your prompt response. Rob. (4/5/2008)
Response: Oh I see, thats not the way Uship describes it. The Match Cost according to them is a deposit to secure the "match", with comes off of the total price. So what dates would you commit to picking it up and having it here? (4/5/2008)
Response: It does come off of the total price, but is charged to you up front. You and I then complete the transaction. Pick up for this, keeping in mind that I may be able to pick it up sooner, would be between 18th and 19th. Drop time woudl be 5 to seven days depending upon other drop offs of Motorbikes along the way. Doing cycle transport is the only way to keep costs to other customers down with fuel and insurance so high. Normally this would be an average price much higher than my bid to actually profit if no other transports were done in the meantime. It takes much co-ordination, and sometimes a bit of patience on all parts, but works out well for all as you can see by my feedback. Once match is accepted, you will immediately have my phone number. I hope this clears up any questions, but am always willing to answer more. Customer satisfaction is number one when you work for yourself. Thank you, Rob. (4/5/2008)
Response: Pick up 19th or 20th at the latest. Delivery will take a maximum of seven days from then.I am only putting out the delivery date so that I have time to fill in with cycles and avoid running late. My greatest concern is customer satisfaction and safety. I am only allowed to run 11 hrs a day on the highway so this limits the distance I can travel in a days time. Some other "Transporters" fly under the radar and pay for it dearly. Rob (4/5/2008)
Response: Sorry to sound like a pain in the butt, however I have never done this before. So you pick up my boat on the 19th or 20th and it takes 7 days to come 1600 miles? That seems kind of long to be on the road. And who do I pay and when? (4/5/2008)
Response: OK, all that I am trying to express is that between the time I pick up your boat, and the time I drop it off, I will be picking up cycles and dropping them off along the way.I have given myself a "7" day trip outlook so that you will not be upset if I tell you 3 days and then it happens to take 4. See what I am getting at? Rob. (4/5/2008)
Response: Ok, I think I get it. so you are transporting multiple things at once? My boat wont be sitting somewhere unattended while you make other deliveries will it? (4/5/2008)
Response: No it will not.In fact it will be locked to the truck at all times, and under surveillance at night. I just want you to be aware that if I pick it up on the 19th, I am fully capable of delivery by the 21st. If however, I have a problem with a customers schedule at pick up or drop of a cycle, it could take an extra day or so. I have been running myself too hard for six weeks because of things like this. I cannot afford to do it anymore. I am not going to sacrafice safety of customers merchandise due to another customers scheduling conflicts. I do not take chances with shipments in any way and I do not want any misunderstandings about timing either. Alot can happen in 1600 miles. If you are looking for someone to drive down, pick it up and speed it to the drop as fast as they can and going as many hours a day as they can stay awake, it is not me. I wish you luck with your shipment, and hope this answers your questions. My business is quality without compromise. Thank you,Rob. (4/5/2008)
Response: Rob Makes perfect sense. I am not asking you to speed it here or take chances. I was mearly asking a question. I'll let you know asap. Mark (4/5/2008)
Response: No problem whatsoever sir. I just do not want any complications with anything or anybody. I like the people I meet to be thoroughly satisfied, and I feel like a total heel if I cannot deliver exactly when I say I am going to. That is why I started leaving myself a cushion. Thank you for your questions. Rob. (4/6/2008)
Question: Oh, something that may help since this is your first Uship transaction is the fact that upon bid acceptance, you and I will instantly be provided with each others contact info. You are at leisure to call me immediately if you so choose, and set up logistics. I keep in constant contact along the trip so that you will know at all times where your shipment is, and the time it will be delivered. It all comes together very smoothly. I have not been using Uship too long and have already gained an excellent rep with many many repeat customers. I have transported to over half the US, and have dropped shipments going as far as Australia. The best part of this job for me is meeting the customer. Good good people so far. Rob. (4/6/2008)
Question: Thanks for asking for rebid. I just got back from Blaine pulling a travel trailer (6500 pounds) and a truck bed with two motorcycles. Towing to Blaine is one long hard pull up hill all the way. Sorry my rebid is higher than last week but gas is higher and I had a better load last week. My price is probably about as low as anybody can go and still make it worth it. thanks jetzflyer (4/8/2008)
Response: You do have insurance for a boat being towed behind your vehicle right? (4/8/2008)
Response: 100,000 cargo insurance and 300,000 liability the cargo insurance covers anything I tow or haul. The policy is with Inland Marine Insurance commercial policy Thanks Jetzflyer (4/8/2008)
Response: Sorry, but your bid keeps expiring before I can get to it. probably the time zone difference and that I am working, not always at my computer. Pretty sure the boat will be ready to move by Friday. (4/9/2008)
Response: No problem I rebid (4/9/2008)
Question: Sorry you feel that feedback is the most important factor in choosing a shipper; EVERY member starts with ZERO feedback. We, fortunately, so not use "U-Ship" very often, but occassionally look for loads when we have extra time between regular shipments. Good luck with getting your boat to Blaine; you seem to want a shipper with high feedback (most of which charge high prices) and you want the same shipper to give you a "discount" price. Perhaps you should look at driving down and picking up your boat personally; those of us that make the regular trip to Blaine know EXACTLY what it costs to make the trip. Again, good luck. (4/9/2008)
Response: Thanks for the bitter response. I am looking for a shipper that has feedback so that I am assured my boat will actually make it to my destination and not end up being sold along the way. Its no different than asking for referrences before hiring an employee. Good luck finding loads for Joe Public with that attitude. You'll need it. (4/9/2008)
Question: P.S. Unlike most carriers, we carry $1Mil of commercial cargo insurance via USAA Insurance; includes vehicles/boats towed behind our vehicles. Again, good luck. If you change your mind, let us know, we can pick up Wed/Thurs this week and deliver Saturday. (4/9/2008)
Response: P.S The earliest pick up is saturday April 12. (4/9/2008)
Question: If you are interested I can do this for you target price. I just delivered a bot to the border. Please keep in mind that fuel is pushing $4.50 a gallon right now and going up daily. If you are interested please let me know this afternoon so I can place formal bid and proceed to your pick up site. Thank you for considering us. Dan (4/9/2008)
Response: I am just a little leary about you only having one feedback. However it sounds like your last customer had you bring his boat to Blaine and that he is in BC. would you be able to provide his name and # for me to do a referrence? Mark (4/9/2008)
Question: Shipper, I would be more worried about illegal shippers than feed back, use a legal carrier with dot & Mc numbers. (4/9/2008)
Response: and how do I know if they have dot & MC numbers? Thanks (4/9/2008)
Response: Look at their profile it should be listed in it like mine. If it is not there ask for them. You can also check company name. Go to www.safer.dot.gov/companysnapshot.aspx this is a federal site to check on carriers. You can enter dot# Mc# or company name to see if they are leggal carrier. If you get no records, you know the answere. (4/9/2008)
Response: Ok, thanks a lot. Mark (4/9/2008)
Response: Glad to see a carrier like below step up (4/9/2008)
Question: Do you want your boat transported by a properly licensed, experienced professional with the required commercial insurance, or by just anybody with a pickup truck and a low price? I am the former, and I am in Phoenix (live here) and can pickup your boat on Saturday. Check my feedback, you will not be disappointed. I also have active and valid US DOT and MC numbers, which you can verify, as the previous poster suggested. I am fully insured, as required by the Federal government. $1500 for worry free transport to Blaine. Let me know soon, and I will submit a formal bid. Rick (4/9/2008)
Response: if your still able to do this please let me know. Mark (4/20/2008)
Response: I do work hard to see that my customers are well served, and Yes, I do have flexibility. I live here in Phoenix, so I am here often. The West Coast is my preferred route. If not this weekend, it may be a week or 10 days. How flexible are you? It would probably be best to wait until you have a firm date, then I will give you my bid. An accepted bid is binding, so I'm sure you can understand my caution. Let me know your thoughts. BTW, transit time would be three days, so we would have to arrange to meet in Blaine on the fourth morning after pickup, unless you wanted to put it in storage there at Pantec. Rick (4/9/2008)
Response: What time saturday? or Sunday maybe? Mark (4/9/2008)
Response: Do you know for sure that it will be ready by Saturday at noon? Rick (4/9/2008)
Response: The guy seller in Az. has his daughters birthday party from 11am till 2pm. So if you pick it up in the morning before say 10am your good. otherwise he is available after 5pm or all day Sunday. If this works plase bid I would like to get this firmed up. mark (4/9/2008)
Response: Does that mean that Friday after 5 would work also? (4/9/2008)
Response: Are you going to bid on the shipment? I need to get this firmed up if its going to go this weekend. (4/10/2008)
Response: Mark, I am sorry, but some things have come up here that will not allow me to move your boat this weekend. I wish you the best of luck. I am sure somebody on this site will step up and do a good job for you. Rick (4/10/2008)
Response: Are you available to move my boat? (4/20/2008)
Question: [removed – unrelated to services offered] (4/9/2008)
Question: I don't see rocking robs transport listed with safer or signs on your truck, and you have shippers calling and as honest as your are just tell them you can't talk till after bid is accepted. It would be to easy give a line or use someone else numbers to shippers that only us this one time and or not familure with dot regulations (4/9/2008)
Response: Sorry I dont know what your trying to say here. (4/9/2008)
Question: [removed- unrelated to services offered] (4/10/2008)
Response: I think you have the wrong guy. Somehow I got in the middle of something here. I am just a customer trying to get his boat moved. (4/10/2008)
Response: Hello sir. Yes, you are just the customer, or shipper, trying to get his boat transported. The problem here is not you whatsoever. I do deeply apologize for the bantering on your listing about DOT and so forth. What has happened is simple. I am a legal transporter and I am doing very well using Uship. I win many many bids due to my customer service, timely transport, and quality equipment. I am being accused by other transporters or "TSP's" of being just a cheap fly by night guy with a pickup. My profile and my feedback speaks for itself. Again, I deeply apologize for the lack of couth of other TSP's and my responses were directed at them, NOT YOU. I have worked hard to answer all of your questions here, and have been honest about timeframe and leglity. I now have won TWO more boat bids, and several bikes along the way which now puts my timeframe for another boat shipment at 5 weeks. I again apologize for the childish accusations of the other TSP's who are upset with my success. Rob. (4/10/2008)
Response: Thanks for the response and clarifying. This site should not be used by people that are into childish verbal assaults. I cant wait 5 weeks, so let me know what i should do with your bid. Thanks (4/10/2008)
Response: I understand sir. The bid will expire in a few days, so no action is necessary. It IS a good idea to check transporters DOT and MC numbers before shipment and verify insurance coverage as well. Leave nothing to chance, and good luck sir. Again, I apologize for the other TSP's shortcomings. Rob. (4/10/2008)
Response: Are you still available to move this for me? (4/20/2008)
