Question: Hello Scott, I want you to understand since you are new to uship. Most shippers that have shipments are also new. And they also don't read or understand the user agreement you have agreed to. On paragraph 14 it states that you are responsible to hire a legal driver. So case in point, the lower bids on these shipments (not just yours) are not showing their DOT/MC number. That means if you hire someone who is not legal and he/she gets pulled over or is caught at the scales without this DOT/MC number your bike will be impounded and you and the driver by law will be fined. Do you want to be protected than just ask the driver if he/she has the proper permits to be on the road with your bike. Most people think that you can hire someone down the block with a pickup to transport your items. "not true" Just demand to have him/her to show their permit. Goodluck to you Patty (1/1/2007)
