Listing Information
  • 1990 Bobcat 543, 3,270 pounds
  • Length:8 ft 8 in
  • Width:4 ft 1 in
  • Height:6 ft 0 in
  • Weight:3270 lbs
Additional Information: This is a small Bobcat - it weighs 3,750 pounds, and can be transported on a car hauling trailer (you would need to provide the trailer). It is fully operational and can be driven onto a trailer with sturdy ramps. It is not fragile, and would strap down easily. The trailer can be open. It does not have to be tarped.

You can see a picture by looking at ebay listing # 1900 5088 3648. The weight quoted is from the Bobcat company web site.

The Bobcat is located at a construction company in Salisbury, Maryland (near Atlantic City). It will be transported to Clyde, NC (just west of Asheville). Mapblast says this is 570 miles. Both locations are on main highways and easy to find.

As an option, it could also be delivered to a plant site in Raleigh, NC (about 300 miles). I have a friend who owns the plant and I could combine a social visit with picking up the Bobcat there.

You would need insurance that would cover the Bobcat in the event of damage while in transit. It would not damage easily - it would take a major car wreck.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: do you still need this done? (11/22/2006)
Response: Yes, I still need this Bobcat shipped. I just posted this yesterday. There's no big rush on this, but probably will need to get this from the seller within 2-3 weeks. It's a small Bobcat - it only weighs 3,270 pounds so it could be hauled on a car carrier. Make me a good price! Jim (11/23/2006)
Question: Hi Jim, what's the value for ins purposes? I could do it this week for abt 510.00. Please let me know ASAP for scheduling if you may be interested. Thanks, Dee (11/27/2006)
Response: I paid $4,400 for the Bobcat. It's worth about $5,000. I've had bids of $350 and $450. The Bobcat could be picked anytime beyond the end of this week. Jim (11/27/2006)
Question: Do you still need this trailered? (11/28/2006)
Response: Hello Transofflorida, Yes, I still need this Bobcat transported from Salisbury, MD to Clyde, NC. I sent the seller payment which they should receive early next week - it could be picked up anytime after that. Although there are still a few bids trickling in , your $450 is pretty close to my $400 target. Might you know how this Bobcat would be transported? Trailer? Truck? It only weighs 3,270 pounds so even a car trailer would work. Ramps would be needed to drive in on to whatever. Employees at the construction company could help drive it onto the trailer. It's not fragile, but would need insurance coverage in the event of a wreck. Would I be in direct contact with your driver on delivery arrangements? Thanks, Jim Busbin (11/28/2006)
Question: Hi Jim, thanks for the answer, I could do it for 425.00, pick up Tues deliver Tues (depending on pickup time) or Wed, fully insured. I have a 12,000 deckover trailer I haul equipment like this and bigger, been doing it for 20+ yrs, just new to Uship. If you may be interested just answer and I'll submit an official bid. Thanks, Dee (11/30/2006)
Response: Hello from North Carolina, Yes, this sounds like a reasonable offer to me. I mailed payment to the seller which they should receive early next week - probably by Tuesday or Wednesday. Seller is a fairly big construction company in Salisbury, MD - Disney Landscaping & Construction. I live just west of Asheville, NC right next to Highway 19/74 in Clyde, NC. The Bobcat is operational and be driven on and off the trailer. Submit your bid then we can work out the details. Jim Busbin (11/30/2006)
