Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Can it be hooked to and pulled? what about some temp tags if so? if you can get it all sorted and it is legal to hook n tow with no permits I would do for lot less than $1000 Let me know! thanks Jimmy (3/11/2009)
Response:
Jimmy, now we are getting right. My father in law hooked it and towed it 40 miles, and he is 79 years old. It is only 9-6" wide and so that is legal I think. Yes? It's a good, triple axle trailer and weighs about 7500 pounds from what I can get from Bayliner. It's a tall boat and I have a picture of it on a trailer. How can I get that to you to see? Also, my wife has a 'very small' piano that comes apart and she want to toss in the back of your truck if possible. That okay? Hope we can work this out and do it early in April. Ralph (3/12/2009)
Response:
I did know that 8'6" was legal limit but I dont know much about getting permits. If you find that it isn't quite as big as you mentioned please let me know and I would be happy to help you out! (3/12/2009)
Response:
The trailer/boat is definitely 9-6" wide. (3/13/2009)
Question:
Any thing(boat, box, pool, tractor) that is over 8'6" is considered oversized. There is not a state in the US that does not require a permit to move it down the road. With out a permit for each state, the DOT can impound the boat. Choose a professional shipper that knows the rules. Feel free to visit my profile, I may bid. (3/12/2009)
Response:
Travis, uship is new to me, so thanks for assisting me. Your site looks superb and our boat is virtually identical to the one on the triple axle trailer in your site. You can pull it with a pickup but a dueley would be better. I hope we can do business, and I assume that you would not mind us packing a small piano in the bed of your truck? Any permits required can be gotten by you? TN and VA? Lead me a bit and let's try to do this about April 1. Ralph (3/12/2009)
Response:
Sorry about the delayed response, 3300 miles last week. You are very welcome to put the piano in my truck as long as it fits. I will secure the permits, my bid is all inclusive. My truck is a 3500, the exact same pulling capacity of it's dually brother. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. (3/14/2009)
Response:
Travis, thanks for your note. I don't see your bid, however. Am I missing something? Hope to hear soon in that I'm ready to make a decision and wanted very much to be able to consider you. Perhaps you have bid and I don't see it? (3/14/2009)
Question:
Do you have a time frame in mine for this it will take about 5 working days to pull permits. Thanks (3/12/2009)
Response:
Yes, I would like to have the boat picked up on or about April 1 or thereabouts. Nothing is 'magical' about that date, so I'm flexible on this boat delivery, so long as it's not prior to April 1 and perhaps not later than April 5. If that is difficult, let me know and we can discuss it. (3/13/2009)
Response:
As I said it can take up to 5 days to get permits for states and or cities this isn't going though to many but over sized loads have there own rules on times and routes they are allowed to move on also the extra time that can be spent with DOT checking paper work.Even though this should be a one day move it will probably turn into two. Thanks (3/13/2009)
Response:
Dale, I'm quite easy on exactly when you pick up and deliver. I can easily see why it may take two days or at least one long day for sure. Might be easier for all concerned to deliver on second day. Again, my MAIN CONCERN is someone who is professional and knows the permit rules, etc. This is my first 'uship' effort and I hope that my judgement will be good on who I pick. Hope you have placed your lowest bid and that we can perhaps do business. Seems like several good people interested in the job....... and I'll decide in the next day or two. Regardless, thank you for your efforts thus far...... (3/13/2009)
Question:
Do you have an idea when you will transport? We have a bid in. Thanks. alleycat1912 (3/13/2009)
Response:
We want to transport between April 1 and April 5 if possible, however are flexible to some extent. It is 9-6" wide so will require permits so I understand. Please 'rethink' your bid. (3/13/2009)
