Question: Hello, is this vehicle still available? I will have space on my flatdeck Jan 22 (1/21/2008)

Response: Yes, it is still available but I have not received a quote from you. Please get back to me as my shipment dates are very flexible.
Mark.
PS. You may have sent me a quote for driving the vehicle to Winnipeg but I am only interested in shipping it. (1/21/2008)

Response: Hello Mark, thank you for your reply. I have not prev. given you a quote. We filled the spot on the truck this time around. The cost for us to do this shipment is about 1500.00, which might be too high for you considering the year of the vehicle. We may be able to do it a bit cheaper if we have an empty spot, however your time frame would have to be very very flexible. What is the max you were hoping to pay? Lorelei (1/21/2008)

Response: I am extremely flexible on the shipping date but was hoping to do it for much cheaper. I was actually looking for a truck driver deadheading back to Winnipeg with say only a partial load. The fee for my truck could help pay for some of the fuel. Is this a possibility?
Mark. (1/23/2008)

Response: Hi Mark. We ususally don't go quite as far as Winnipeg, as we drop down to cross the border about 50 km west. Due to the price of fuel we try to find payloads. We do, however deadhead empty on occassion. Because of the size and weight of your truck it does add an extra cost for fuel probably (approx $200), as well as the driver's loading & unloading time (overall delay-1 day-cost of $200), and truck wear & tear, so these things have to be taken into consideration when pricing. If you are willing to wait for an empty truck (which may take several weeks) we could probably knock the price in half. For our company, it would not make sense to haul for less than that. You may find a transporter cheaper than that if they can combine it with another partial load. However we can only carry one vehicle at a time. I will let you know if we should have an empty truck headed your way.
Thank you for your time. (1/23/2008)

Response: Thanks for your reply. I am willing to wait for and empty truck and the best deal you can offer. Again, my shipping date is extremely flexible. Let me know on the best price you can get me.
Mark. (1/23/2008)

Response: Mark, I will see what I can do for you. (1/24/2008)

Response: Thanks for your reply.
Get back to me.

Response: Hi Mark, We may have a truck in Vancouver on Monday. I am just waiting to hear from the driver. Will place my bid once it is confirmed. Lorelei (1/25/2008)

Question: Hi Mark, the truck will be in Langley on Wednesday. One last question, can someone meet us to pick the truck up about 25 km West of Winnipeg at Elm Creek MB? Where Hwy 13 crosses the #1? (1/27/2008)

Response: Driver57;
Yes the truck can be picked up at Elm Creek and can be ready to be shipped from Langley on Wednesday.
A few questions;
1) I haven't received a final quote from you on this arrangement and would like to know how much it would cost.
2) Are you an insured and bonded carrier? Being ne to this uship stuff I only know you as Driver57. Please give me the details on your company as it had no feedback on the uship pages. The truck has basic insurance through ICBC but I need to know if I should get some kind of transport insurance for it or if that is included by you.
3) Would you reccomend an additive to the the diesel fuel for the cold weather? I have tested the radiator fluid and it's good to -37 degrees.
4) Let me know where and when I should bring it in Langley for shipping and where and when it needs to be picked up in Elm Creek, MB.
Thanks.
Mark.

Response: Hi Mark. I have placed my bid. You do not need any additional insurance, our company is fully insured to haul your truck. We can discuss the fuel additives ect. over the phone if you should accept the bid. (1/28/2008)
