Questions for this shipment:

Question: I can do this for you the within the first couple weeks in march i own a reputable transport co. out of litchfield n.h. we handle the new inventory for several dealers in the northeast including city atou sales and rv in claremont a short distance from where this is I can meet your price and supply references insurance included and dot certified if its alright with you Id like to go look at the unit to see if maybe it can be towed my father is experienced in rv service and can check it out, I have a feeling you wont be able to get this on a carrier for that price but I have a trip going to minny in three weeks and this would work out great for me thank you for your consideration jeff lamothe...lamothetransport (2/16/2006)
Response: Again, this trailer's tires and bearings probably need servicing which I would like to have done in my area once I get it here. I'm not traveling to Vermont to service this trailer so I appreciate your interest but it doesn't meet my needs. (2/16/2006)
Question: one other thing my price would be 1.00 per mile which is roughly 1350 so if you would like a can roll that difference between your max and my price into some new tread for your trailer check out my website for more info on our company (2/16/2006)
Response: Again, this trailer's tires and bearings probably need servicing which I would like to have done in my area once I get it here. I'm not traveling to Vermont to service this trailer so I appreciate your interest but it doesn't meet my needs. (2/16/2006)
Question: As I said in my previous message Id like to look at the trailer Im only located 45 minutes away and if all it needs is tread and to have the bearings packed then we can go from there trust me I dont want to tow a traier cross country that isnt roadworthy and I wont tell you it is if it isnt I just figured it was worth a look for both our sakes and I have no problem driving up to wherever it is on my own dime (2/17/2006)
Response: Your offer is generous but is not a bid and Uship has asked not to disclose phone numbers and contact info without a bid. I need to abide by their rules and hopefully so do you. (2/17/2006)
Question: yes I would absolutly bid but do to the nature of your situation Its fair to say I cant until we find out if the trailer is road worthy with your permission I can contact uship and ask them to make an exception for this haul (2/18/2006)
Response: If Uship approves of contact info outside the bidding process they need to send me an email to that effect. Just so we're clear, you agree to check this trailer out at your own cost with no promise of using your service on my part. Appreciate your efforts and will look for Uship's decision. (2/18/2006)
Question: I have emailed uship as to the nature of the situation I also read through the uship rules and you are not in violation of the rules if you leave the address of the trailer, I didnt find anything to that affect which is really all I need and I would go on my own time but unfortunatly I only have today and tommorrow to go look at it then ill be on the road till feb.28 (2/18/2006)
Response: Jeffrey, I'm sorry but disclosing contact info is listed as a problem all over Uship webpages; there's a link at the top of my listing that leads to info about security and it states: "For a detailed look at uShip rules, regulations, and policies, refer to the uShip User Agreement. For a quick rundown of basic violations, please see below: It is a violation of uShip rules to post any of the following: Email Address Phone Number Web Address Fax Number Any Other Direct Contact Information" I understand that you have time issues so this may not be the best time to conduct business for you. (2/18/2006)
Question: Hello I can do this for your target price of 1600.00. I am a rv dealer in new hampshire just looking for a load going out in your area to get a back haul for myself. The best way to move your travel trailer is to tow it. I have plenty of experence, and will check bearings and bring spare tires. I will need to know soon to schedule my back haul.THANKS RVSBILL Please check my feedback (2/20/2006)
Response: Hi Bill & karen, Also responded in the bidding process before I saw your question here. As I said in my listing, my trailer is not roadworthy so it would need to be winched onto a flatbed and hauled as any servicing that's done should be in the trailer's new home area rather than 1300 miles away. (2/20/2006)
Question: talked to mickey milsap at uship says the only way to do it is bid and if you accept I can go look at the trailer and if I cant do the job i can do a match retraction I wish you would reconsider my offer the trailer is old but not that old if all it takes is tires and greasing the bearings that is not a big deal no need to respond to this message unless you want to move forward just wanted to let you know what mickey said thank you jeff lamothe (2/25/2006)
Response: What kind of warranty would I have on tires and service work that you would need to do 1,300 miles away? Not doubting your work, but I am a magnet for things going wrong so I need to know in advance what my options would be... (2/25/2006)
Question: what I am offering is to go to the sight where the trailer is and establish wether tires and greasing the bearings would be sufficient to haul this trailer if not my boss WILL NOT let me do this job. from there I can get a price on brand new tires and send you the size so you can price them at home but I am pretty positive I can get quality tires for the best price once we establish it is roadworthy if it is, the trailer is covered under my insurance for the trip I hust wish I could see the trailer before I bid because then Im on the hook for the uship fees if it isnt roadworthy,I am not trying to pressure you into this it just would make a good haul for me and ultimitly I think your going to have someone tow it anyway do to the size and location only a 53'flatbed would be able to haul this and there is no way for them to load it as far as I can see (2/26/2006)
Response: There are no fees to you unless you're paid for a job; right in the DRIVER'S section of Uship it states: "Join for FREE - no upfront costs or commitments... ...uShip takes a 7.9% match fee after the transaction is complete, but your FIRST TRANSACTION IS FREE*!" And I still wonder about YOUR warranty on servicing the trailer. (2/26/2006)
Question: Either myself or my father will be in the area of the trailer this week I said I would go look at it at my expense and I will but I would like to do it then because I will be close. if it needs four new tires(and I would need a spare)my father works part time for a dealer so he can get them mounted and balanced for 30%off and have the bearings packed right there as far as a warranty no one will warranty "packing bearings"because there is no part to warranty as far as the tires those come with a standard warranty like all brands do,if you would like to proceed I will place a bid Im sure by now you have realized the only way to get this hauled would require a low boy which is going to run you upwards of 2-2.50 a mile so I think this is your best bet (2/27/2006)
