Response: Its taken a week for the shipper to finally get everything ready on there end so time isn't as much of an issue any more as it was. Target will be based on bids and shipper credentials in the profiles and of course their feedback. I won't necessarily take the low bid but rather the one I feel the most comfortable with. Response: We need need approximate time frames to know if we will have a truck in your area. We can appreciate you not accepting low bid, however if we can build a trip around your Bike than everyone is happy as we are able to share in the savings that can create. We are new to USHIP (please see recent and new feedback) but we have been delivering bikes and quads for Power Sports stores out of MI all over the US for 8 years, we know how to take care of your bike and treat your bike and you with respect. Response: Both pickup and delivery dates are flexible. I'm all for combining shipments to make things better for the carrier and better my cost as well. Delivery date will be one of the other considerations as to who gets the bid. However, it is also one that is of the least concern. (9/27/2007)
Question: Hi , I can pick up the bike and accessories on Thursday, Oct 4th, I am somewhat flexible on the time of day. Delivery to Ga 24-48 hrs after loading. Question: Hello shipper. I notice your complaint of shippers only having 1-2 days expiration on their bids. Just for your information. As for us we are passing through your pickup area today heading to FL with a load and have one spot left(the reason for the cheap price I offered). We won't be back in this area for a couple of months because our next runs we have scheduled are out west and back to FL so it is not feasable to have a bid out there for 8 more days that a shipper may accept that the service provider can't fulfill. Most service providers use their own web sites and other advertising to get the loads that they haul to make money then use U-ship to fill an empty spot on their run that they have. That is why you see a lot of service providers place a bid with a 10 day expiration date on it and then cancel the bid in a day or two, because they got the spot filled that they were trying to fill from another shipper. Response: The bike still needs to be shipped. I have been in no hurry so that someone could schedule it in with there existing run and make it more profitable for themselves and hopefully cheaper for me. As far as delivery in Alpharetta that can be at any hour of the day or night. The pickup though really needs to be during the daylight hours. The pickup in Shelbyville is at a farm not far from the interstate and there is plenty of room for large vehicles from what I am told. The shipper though is a widow and would prefer a daylight pickup. Not sure about lighting at night so this may be another reason for the daylight pickup. (10/1/2007)

Response: I've passed some up because of questionable feedback, insurance status or other reasons from the lack of information in their profile. There was also an issue at first that the bike wasn't ready for shipping. I wasn't in any hurry though and this also allows carriers more time to arrange their shipments. The best offer I had of $245 expired literally 3 hours before I had confirmation that the bike was ready. (10/4/2007)

Response: Not sure of the exact height. I would assume its in the area of 60". There is a windshield on this bike but it's only 3/4 and not a full size windshield. (10/4/2007)
Response: We have a van enroute back and wanted the measurements to see whether it would fit inside. Our inside clearance is 48". I don't believe we will be able to ship this with the windshield on it. (10/4/2007)
Response: There is no one at the origin that would be mechanically inclined to remove the winshield. Only person there is a widow. (10/4/2007)
Response: I have had to remove windshields and mirrors on previous shipments without any problems. If you would agree to put it back on once we deliver it, we can match the lowest bid and have it to you by Saturday. (10/4/2007)
Response: Place your bid if you are certain it will fit. I'm not sure that even with the mirrors removed that it will fit under 48". I searched the web and I can't find anyone that has a height measurement on the bike. (10/4/2007)
