Question: I won't be in the area anytime soon.
(2/3/2009)

Response: Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe next time! (2/3/2009)

Response: Yes, I will not decline your bid request as I'm always booking jobs and look for small shipments to supplement my income. Are you flexible on pickup or do you need this by a certain date? (2/3/2009)

Response: Hi. Well, I was hoping to have it delivered by Saturday (2/7/09) if possible... The sooner the better. :) (2/3/2009)

Question: the only way i can still pick this up, i doubt u could but i gotta leave AZ at 3 am so i would be there at 6 am cause i have to go to california to pick up a boat going to SD this friday, if this could work ill give you a really good price i would be dropping off your shipment on saturday..let me know asap if this might work for you thanks brett (2/3/2009)

Response: Hi, this might work, but I'm a little confused. What day/time could/would you be in Sedona and then you'd deliver to Utah on Saturday? (2/3/2009)

Response: yes i would be in sedona at about 6 am on friday and have to quickly get it loaded and strapped in as i have to be in cali about 1 pm, and after i get the boat i would be in utah saturday evening or sunday afternoon, as i have to pass right through that area, the bike would go in the back of my pickup, would there be enough room at dropoff location to get a full size pickup and a 23 ft boat attached to get in and out of? (2/3/2009)

Response: Hi. I would think that would work. The person I bought this scooter from seems very flexible, and if nothing else, I'm sure we could get him to let us know where everything would be. As far as dropoff, I'd probably have you meet me a couple of blocks from my house, just to avoid going down a bunch of small side-streets. :) (2/3/2009)

Response: ya that would be great if you could meet me somewhere near by, so i dont have to go down more streets than necissary, well i have my bid below, make sure that time would work to pickup scooter and i would be more than happy to swing by and pick it up, it will be well protected, if everything is good with pickup time, then feel free to accept bid below, thank you very much - Brett (2/3/2009)

Response: I will find out if 6am on Friday would work. So just so I understand, once you pick it up on Friday, you're off to Calif, then back up to Utah on Saturday? Just curious, where would the scooter be overnight on Friday? Just a little nervous that it might get stolen if it's just sitting on the back of a truck... (2/3/2009)

Response: yes that is correct after pickup im off to cali first then to utah, also as far as it being protected overnight, i sleep in my truck at the truckstops, with all the other truckers, so the scooter would be in my line of sight, also i usually at night if anything in the back i strap down a tarp over the entire back to cover everything, i would not let anything happen to your scooter, thank you (2/3/2009)

Response: All sounds good. I'm waiting for feedback from the seller to see if 6AM will work for him. I should have a reply from him by mid morning at the very latest. :) Thanks so much! (2/3/2009)

Response: sounds good thank you very much, talk to you tomorrow - brett (2/3/2009)

Response: Sure thing! (2/4/2009)

Response: hello again, i just got an update on a shipment, i will be heading to NM to pick up a boat then traveling through flagstaff so i can swing by thursday evening and pick this up for you if that will work better, i can pick up the scooter around 6 or 7 pm on thursday, let me know asap as i am leaving here 6 am tomorrow, thank you again (2/4/2009)

Response: Sounds better for the seller. Would that change the day/time of the delivery or no? (2/4/2009)

Response: i will still be delivering on saturday, just the time should be earlier since i will be picking up boat in california ealier on friday, so it will be there before 5pm on saturday, will you still be able to meet me somewhere nearby so i dont have to go down the small streets? let me know asap or accept bid by tonight, thank you brett (2/4/2009)

Response: Hi Brett, All sounds good. Need to work out one or two small things with seller in about an hour, and then will be in touch. Thanks! (2/4/2009)

Question: I could put this in the bed of my truck, which is covered with a weathertight fiberglass shell. Would you mind if it were laid on its side, with padding? If so, I could load Friday and deliver Saturday for $451, fully insured. Let me know, and I will submit a formal bid. I just delivered a 59 Fiat to Spanish Fork a couple of weeks ago. Rick (2/3/2009)

Response: Hi. Laying on it's side is a bit tricky. There's engine covers that would have to be removed. Not totally against it, as long is it was done lovingly. :) (2/3/2009)

Response: I could transport it standing up if the windshield was removed. Rick (2/3/2009)

Response: Hi. Windshield can certainly be removed, but I'm not sure if the person I bought this from knows how (it's just a few screws holding it on). If you think you could remove it (it's real easy), that would work for me and I'd sure appreciate it. :) (2/3/2009)

Response: I could certainly remove the windshield, and have the bike to you on Saturday. I also forgot to mention that I am DOT compliant, meaning I have all the legally required credentials to transport interstate for hire, and am fully commercially insured. Please take a moment to read my profile to learn why that is very important to you. You can also read comment from previous clients. Would you like me to submit a formal bid and lock this in? Rick (2/3/2009)

Response: Sounds very good. Yeah, would love to get a formal bid from you. Looking forward to it - thanks! (2/4/2009)

Response: Will there be help at pickup location to lift into back of my pickup truck? How about at delivery location? Or I can load it by myself onto the deck of my open trailer, but would rather get it into the truck. Rick (2/4/2009)

Response: Actually, I think there should be help at both locations... (2/4/2009)

Question: Thank you for your bid request. If this were on-route, I would bid $200, so you may want to wait for a bid from a LEGAL transporter with a DOT number and good reputation/feedback. I have excellent feedback and am legal and insured, but I would be at $475 simply because it is off route for me. If you don't get a good competitive bid, let me know and I can bid it at that, or maybe a little better if I can find another piece going down that way. Kevin (Big Sky Transport) (2/4/2009)

Response: Thanks for all the help. If you find another job, please let me know... (2/4/2009)

Response: You might want to send a bid request to Monty at westernexpress. If he is running that way he would make you a good bid, if not he would probably be about where I am. (2/4/2009)

Response: Thanks, I will look him up! (2/4/2009)

Question: I thought you already accepted a bid on this 79 Vespa, checked it out earlier and thought that was what I saw, so I did not submit my bid. Late Tuesday night and already in Utah and will be heading out tomorrow (Wednesday) sorry. (2/4/2009)

Response: Yeah, I did accept a bid, but he had to back out because he had nothing else to haul. :( So I'm back to square one. :( (2/4/2009)

Response: Sorry about that not working out, on my way to Salt Lake right now and did have room but thought you were all set. Good luck and sorry we did't hook up for your delivery. (2/4/2009)

Response: I'm sure sorry too. :( I thought I was all set too. I knew I should have chosen your bid - it was basically the same price. :( (2/4/2009)

Question: Thank you for the bid request! But i don't believe I can do this cheep enough for you. I can pickup and deliver both scooters you have listed for $853. Delivered on 5x10 open utility trailer pulled behind my 05 Trailblazer. I'd be glad to help you out, but i'm not going to be cometitive enough on price. Thank you, "scott5" (2/4/2009)

Response: Thanks anyway. Hopefully next time! I was hoping they could both be brought on one haul, but the NJ delivery is not ready for a few days, where I'm ready for the AZ one now. :) (2/4/2009)

Question: Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure scooter to a suitable skid / long pallet or OEM like crate base so as to be acceptable for transport by common carrier service? ... THX (2/4/2009)

Response: Not sure, would have to check. Would the skid/pallet be provided? (2/4/2009)

Response: understand and here's a suggestion given what you said ... local bike/ATV dealers often have used / salvaged OEM crate bases which may be acquired or most will even pickup locally and “palletize” or crate the bike properly for common carrier shipment albeit for a fee but they are well versed in this need ... drop shipping to another dealer is good too as they will “de-crate” the bike & may even give you some credit back for the crate base? ... this would also offset common carrier accessorial charges as bike would then be coming from (or going to) business type locations with a dock or forklift instead of residential to residential ... just an idea ... let me know which one of these, if any might be a doable option & can then bid to suit ... THX (2/4/2009)

Response: Whew! Thanks for all the info! Probably will have this shipped by someone else, as it's looking like I can have them delivered by Friday or Saturday, but thanks! Still would like bid on NJ scooter, tho. (2/4/2009)
