Question: Good Morning! Would you be oposed to having the pick up driven to Nebraska? My husband and I will be leaving the WA/OR area and going home to Colorado the last week of Sept. and one of us would be happy to drive your pick up to NE then. Since we are going that direction, we could drive your truck there for a less expensive rate. We both have spotless driving records and George has a Class A CDL We deliver RV trailers to Canada and throughout the USA. We are in compliance with all DOT regulations. Response: hi, My 79 Chevy 1/2ton swb 4x4 won't be able to make the drive from Oregon to Nebraska. It's not road ready because it needs tie rods and won't steer straight. If it was road ready we could have driven it here at the time. It needs to be put on a trailer to be hauled from Oregon to Nebraska only way to do it. Thank you for the offer and have a nice day. Question: Hello, Nice truck. I'll be out near Portland the week of Oct. 7th and will be heading back to the midwest. I have a couple of questions reguarding the height of your truck. I use a large enclosed trailer that has a rear door opening of 94" high & 91" wide. I'm pretty sure the width of your truck would be ok, i have a large jeep with full width axles & 38's and it fits with room to spare. I'm conerned about the height. Let me know what you think. Response: Hi, My 79 Chevy 1/2ton swb 4x4 has 36in. tires on it with 6in lift and 3in body lift with 3/4ton running gears. It also has stock 3/4ton tires and wheels in the bed of it to be changed out if it has to be dropped in height. I think it would fit, but I got to wait until I get money together so it might be awhile. DO YOU MAKE ALOT OF TRIPS TO PORTLAND, OR ??? How much would you charge me for the trip? Response: Hello again, I get out there occasionally, probably not any more this winter. I'm based out of southeastern Mn. Even thou i don't mind the snow, and i love the mountains, i don't want to get my truck/trailer all slopped up with road salt, etc., too hard to get it clean when i get back.
