Question: I am delivering a boat to Brownsville next week, 11/20. Could load this boat 11/21 and deliver next day. Would require lift for both load and unload from my triple axle pro transport (see profile for pics.) Price? Lower. Your part? Prompt bid acceptance and 50% deposit to secure timeframe. MREMarine (11/12/2008)

Response: I may be able to make that work, any idea what the price would be if I could, my intentions would be to go down a couple of days early to remove boat from water, clean hull and remove fly bridge as I assume it will have to be removed for transport. (11/12/2008)

Response: Is this a Uniflite 32 or Uniflite 34? 32 would work with, 34 will need bridge down. (11/12/2008)

Response: it is uniflite 34, I figured as much as the bridge had to be removed to be brought to rockport (11/12/2008)

Response: Understood. Check my profile - we use a C4500 Kodiak and custom built triple axle transport (3x7K# Dexter, brakes on all wheels) this is the right trailer design to properly adjust and support your boat's hull, as well as safely and legally move a boat of this size. Your boat with gear and some fluids will weigh over 18,000#...this is too much boat for a 1-ton truck and generic boat trailer. Bid to follow... (11/12/2008)

Response: I am working on trying to make the date you suggested work, however this is the first boat of this size I have owned and I am trying to learn as quickly as I can, I assume once the fly bridge is removed you will handle transporting it as well, I have been told that it is normally fastened to the bow, if this is true, do you do that? or do I need to figure out some other way of taking care of this? (11/13/2008)

Response: It can be set on the bow, I will block, fasten and secure it for transport. Appreciate your willingness to work with my schedule...I will be available to assist in prepping and loading starting Saturday 11/22 we got some weather in MN and I am behind previous schedule, but now rolling. This should help you to have more time if you can meet me to prep that weekend and I could load either Saturday 11/22 or as late as Monday, 11/24. I am obviously angling to be back in MN for Thanksgiving... (11/14/2008)

Question: Agreed! Safersys is a good resource for shippers to verify the credentials of a hauler. However, the raw data may not always reflect reality when it comes to OOS %. The more that you stop at weigh stations, or pass through high enforcement areas, the more likely you are to be flagged. Once flagged, the scrutiny is relentless. Our latest OOS was for not having the chains crossed on a trailer. The one before that was for a loose connection on a breakaway battery. Another was for missing inspection paperwork. Hardly earth-shaking offenses, but they are OOS violations, nonetheless. Now, if company run boats cross country, and has never been inspected yet (all zeros on Safersys rating system) ...what exactly does that mean? Is a '0' inspection rating better than lots of compliance (stopping at scales) and having infractions? We believe the answer is 'YES', and that is part of why we have a 100% customer feedback rating.
