Did you win? I am heading that way later next week.Report a Violation
Response: Yes, I won the auction. I'm hoping for a reasonable price to get it up here and I'm willing to make it very hassle-free. As you can see, the thing is in pretty dire condition so I'm not going to be fussing over scratches in transit or the like. Let me know. Chris6/30/2012Report a Violation
Response: : OK Chris. It will fit inside my Suburban, as I just moved one like it last week from DE to TN. In much better condition though...6/30/2012Report a Violation

Chris. I know I am $10 over your max, but I don't go south that often, mostly to the mid-west. If you are thinking of accepting, please do so before noon Sunday. If not, I will continue looking...Report a Violation
Response: David, you're in the ballpark, but I have to pay another $20 to uShip and there are others that are very close to your price who seem to have more substantial haulers and no deadline. So I think I'll hold out for another day or so and see what else comes in. I really have a psychological barrier paying more than $300 total for the rust heap :) Thanks for the offer! Response: : I understand. Usually I haul my trailer with either my Cavailer or Tracker, which both get pretty good fuel economy, even pulling a 10' loaded open trailer. For a shipment like yours, I would need to use my Suburban and place it inside, which isn't so good on gas. After estimating my additional expenses, I might only profit $20 to $30 on this deal. I will not take it personally if you chose someone else. Good luck, Dave.7/1/2012Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for understanding. One question though, why wouldn't you use your open trailer to haul this?7/1/2012Report a Violation
Response: : I can, but given your budget, I would rather use that space for a larger bike. Right now, my 3 booked shipments are only covering about 75% to 90% on my expected expenses. I still hope for another large bike to take south and one more to take back, averaging well over what you budgeted for. If I do not get them, I eat the extra costs myself. It's one of the gambles of this type of work. Fortunatly, so far anyway, I have not had that problem. I have been able to manage enough to make it work. But, one 14 hour trip I only cleared $6 after expenses, and that was only because he gave me a $30 tip. Otherwise, I would have been in the hole by $24.7/1/2012Report a Violation
