I've shipped a couple of bikes in the past and wasn't altogether thrilled with the way the bikes were handled by the carrier. The bike I am looking at now (located in Minnesota) looks like what I'm after but the owner isn't equipped to send me digital pics via e-mail. He is taking pics himself and mailing them via U.S. mail to me...he anticipates getting them here on or about this Wednesday, June 6th. If the pics reflect the condition of the bike is as advertised, I anticipate making an offer to purchase it by no later than next weekend. Having said this, I am a "newbie" to U-Ship. Can you by chance tell me...if we agree to a deal to have you ship it for me, do u then post an official bid via U-Ship (which I in-turn accept) ? (Your advice would be greatly appreciated!) Response: Thanks much for the feedback, Tim. As I referenced in my previous note, I'm hoping to receive the bike pics from the seller tomorrow or Thursday. If this deal happens, you are my first choice to transport the bike. Assuming things go well and I get the bike, I will have to find out what the seller's schedule looks like as far as holding the bike until July 8th. He and his wife have purchased a new home and are moving so I wud have to check with him. (I'm under the impression he and his wife are staying in the same area there in Minnesota.) Response: Hello Tim. I wanted to confirm with you that I have indeed purchased the 1977 Goldwing. It is located in Oakpark Heights, Minnesota 55082. I have confirmed with the seller that he can hold the bike until you will be able to pick it up on or about July 8th. I live in The Woodlands,TX 77382. (aka: 'Spring,TX') Bear with me...this is my first time to use U-ship...what is the next step? I'm under the impression that you submit a formal bid to me (for the $550 price you quoted) which I would accept...is that correct? After that, I know I need to remit dollars to someone (obviously).
