Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure bike to suitable skid / long pallet or crate base so as to be acceptable for common carrier service? ... THX (7/10/2008)
Response: I would be willing to do that - but not sure where I would get a pallet or crate base from. any suggestions? or do you have one we could use? the bike is not heavy. thanks! (7/10/2008)
Response: understand and here's a suggestion given what you said ... local bike dealers often have used / salvaged crate bases which may be acquired or they will even pickup and “palletize” or crate the bike properly for shipment albeit for a fee but they are well versed in this need ... drop shipping to another dealer is good too as they can “de-crate” the bike & may even give you some credit back for the crate base? ... this would also offset common carrier accessorial charges as bike would then be going to business type locations instead of a residential one ... just an idea ... let me know if this might be a doable option & can then bid to suit ... THX (7/10/2008)
Question: alternatively ... a long pallet or shipping skid if made up, must be sufficiently large / long enough so as to accommodate bike as placed & secured with no overhang ... often (2)standard 4-way pallets “strong backed” together as one will work with (4)ratchet tie down straps cross fastened to bike being anchored to pallet stringers with sufficient tension to compress bike's suspension so as to maintain constant resistance tension during transit and terminal handling ... bike to be on center stand if fitted or weight bearing center frame stabilizing brace set up ... fuel to be drained down / gas free & battery (if applicable) disconnected ... any additional parts or accessories to be boxed up & secured to same pallet ... let me know which is doable & will then work a rate for you ... THX (7/10/2008)
Question: Hello, What is your preferred time-frame? Thanks, Matt(Wolverine Transport) (7/12/2008)

Response: ihave the enclosed trailer when i rebid i forgot to put that in (7/15/2008)
Question: sorry i thought this was another one i can be there tomorrow or the next day (7/15/2008)
Response: ok that works! what time tomorrow? (7/15/2008)
