Questions for this shipment:
Question:
l can pick her up on 8th january if that will be find for you?? (12/27/2008)
Response:
I will have to check with the marina first in Pompano. The boat has been there for a week waiting on the other hauler and they want the boat gone as it is as their gas dock. What a nightmare this has been. Are you absolutely sure you can pick her up then? (12/27/2008)
Response:
l am picking up the tuesday this week from ft lauderdale going to pensacola but l can't deliver until 6th January that why l gave you on the 8th,on that date l can guarantee this not lair,l can have her loaded. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Sounds good...............give me a bid or take the book it now price. (12/27/2008)
Response:
how much you think it will be fair for me to use big semi to move her all this guys biding are bidding base on pickup and they can't load her on pickup truck,l being moving boats since 1988 and l away want my customers to be happy tell me something and lets work on it. (12/27/2008)
Question:
Who was the hauler that didn't get the boat picked up? Are lifts available for load and unload? (12/27/2008)
Response:
The hauler was out of Indiana. Yes there are lifts available at both locations. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Sorry to hear of your troubles. All legal, DOT credentialed haulers should have their info clearly listed on their profile. Active MC# info indicates that proper cargo insurance necessary for legal, for-hire operations is on file with FMCSA. We are working on a trip to FL soon, if it comes together, we'll bid. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Thank you for your response. After speaking with the marina in Pompano today if at all possible I will need the boat picked up between the 5th and 10th of Jan '09. (12/27/2008)
Response:
We'll see if we can get there in time. Check our profile for DOT and MC# information. All legitimate overdimensional marine haulers will have similar links on their profile. Due to the volume of boats moved in/out of Florida - enforcement is extremely high. I'd hate to see you select another hauler without credentials/cargo insurance, and have the boat impounded halfway across the state, a real possibility. (12/27/2008)
Question:
You said the marina wanta the boat loaded between the 5th, and 10th of Jan. Can the boat be picked up sooner? (12/27/2008)
Response:
Yes, but the problem is at the recieving end. Their lift will not be ready until the 5th. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Thanks for the reply. I too questioned the height. I show a bridge clearance of 11'6", with windshield on, and a draft of 2'6". By the time it is loaded on a trailer, 16'. Take the windshield off, and it will drop to about 13'6". This is a good thing. With the holidays, and businesses shutting down, you are better off loading the 5th. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Are you available to pick up on the 5th and would you like to place a bid? (12/27/2008)
Response:
I am in Ocala now, and looking for a load. I DONT WANT to sit until the 5th. Looking for something sooner, But I'll see what happens. If it looks like I will have to sit another week, then I'll bid, if it is still available. (12/27/2008)
Question:
I have one of these Carvers out in my yard and with the windshield still on and the keel at 20" off the ground I show a height close to 15'. Is your windshield still on? Props outside measurements of about 50" which would fit my trailer well. Jake III (12/27/2008)
Response:
Hey man, thanks for the response. The windshield is currently still on but the marina will take it off if need be. I am looking for the boat to be picked up between the 5th and 10th of Jan. Do you think you could work something out between those dates? Let me know. Thanks man! (12/27/2008)
Response:
I am dropping a boat off in Key Largo Florida on Jan 5th then going to Alabama empty to load on Jan 6th, so yes. I can haul yours but it must fit my trailer. My bunks are 55" wide and 30" high. So we need to get your boat height down to 13' 6" on my trailer. I have 200k cargo insurance and Great feedback. Jake III (12/27/2008)
Response:
Sounds GREAT! So if I have the marina take the windshield off that should put us in line - correct? Since I have already given the other hauler a hefty deposit that I will be lucky to get back I don't want to go over 1,600 If you think we can make this happen let me know. (12/27/2008)
Response:
I am very interested. let me get some other measurements with the windshield off. I will let you know tonight, but I think it looks doable. jake III (12/27/2008)
Response:
You're the best! Appreciate all your help. Let me know. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Everything looks ok - I place a bid at $1800 for a Jan 5th load and 6th unload - Jake III (12/27/2008)
Response:
Not sure if my last response went thru to you. My question is you mentioned that you price does not include load and unload. I'm assuming you mean putting the boat on and off of your trailer? I have paid the marina for that. Also are there any other hidden cost? If you will take 1700 I will except your bid. (12/27/2008)
Question:
l have place my bid is including permit, like l said ealy am using semi with lowboy 55ft long to move this boat for you without any problem this carver have a keel you can't load her on any kind of trailer for transport.this guy with pickup trucks can not secure this and stand on the wind on the highway.you will be dissapointed again and again.take my word if you can't use my service try to find guys with semi, lowboy trailer thanks again. (12/27/2008)
Response:
Thank you for all of your advise. This boat does not have much of a keel as she is very flat bottomed on a semi displacement haul. Unfortunately you are asking more money than I can afford. Thank you again (12/27/2008)
