Additional Information: This is a running 1973 Citroen SM. It has a hydraulic suspension system that although not common to find, is also not difficult to work with as long as a reasonable amount of care is used. I would like it to be shipped in an enclosed transport, or by an open transporter who is familiar with handling older european cars. The car cannot be tied down by the frame!! It must be tied down with wheel straps. If it is chained to the frame, you will damage or destroy the chassis. I restore and export these cars. If you would like regular business of shipping these cars coast to coast, please give me a competitive bid. My pickup dates are flexible, as long as clear communication is maintained.

Question: when is it possible to pick it up? (11/2/2009)
Response: It should be possible to pick up the car almost any day next week. However, I would put you in contact (phone number) of the person who is holding the car for shipment, and you would have to arrange the exact time/date with him. I would like to emphasize that thia car, although it is a running car, is a vintage Citroen, almost 40 years old. It is not complicated to operate, but it does need a small amount of careful handling. The car is carburated, and you start it with a small amount of choke. Also, since it is a French Citroen, the car has hydraulic suspension, which requires a bit of extra care when loading. The car MUST be tied down with wheel straps in front, or else with axle straps on the lower suspension arm. Under no circumstance should it be tied with a hook into the frame or chassis - you will tear and damage the metal if you do this. Will the driver be able to comprehend and adhere to these instructions? Also, please let me know if you are a broker or owner/operator. (11/4/2009)
