Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Is the weight correct???? (9/22/2008)
Response:
They are listed on the spec sheet at 390 lbs each. (9/22/2008)
Response:
Sorry my bad I meant the width??? (9/22/2008)
Response:
I could not find a specific width measurement on the web site for the older machines so this is an estimate. I can ask the current owner to measure them. (9/22/2008)
Response:
Sorry I'm booked for now. Thank you Good Luck. (9/24/2008)
Response:
K (9/25/2008)
Response:
What is K ???? (9/25/2008)
Response:
short for OK .... There are other snowmobile guys looking for transport of machines from North Dakota --> Duluth and Minny/St. Paul --> back East to NY/NH. I have a quote from Freightcenter for $857 for mine but I have to bother the seller to crate them up rather than take them as they are. I was looking for an alternative. (9/25/2008)
Response:
I have a trailer but not with now I'm on the way to Portland, OR to tow a boat to VA. How soon do you need them moved???? (9/25/2008)
Response:
Not for a few weeks .... (9/26/2008)
Response:
great (9/26/2008)
Response:
I have extended the date. (9/29/2008)
Question:
Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure sled to suitable skid / long pallet or OEM like crate base so as to be acceptable for common carrier service? ... THX (9/23/2008)
Response:
Yes - to skids but not boxed. (9/23/2008)
Response:
good, an open crate or skid base for each one is fine ... as per uShip rules, bid rated all inclusive per posting info: “Residential to Residential” with Liftgate service at curbside for both ... Shipper (consignor) to load sleds onto liftgate & Consignee to unload same from liftgate ... each sled to be placed & secured to suitable long pallet / skid or OEM like crate base and must be within the footprint thereof not overhanging ... fuel to be drained / gas free & battery disconnected (if applicable) ... any additional parts or accessories to be boxed up & also secured to same pallet ... Do you have any questions or require rate and/or service clarification?? ... If so, then please ask before accepting ... THX (9/23/2008)
Response:
UNderstood. (9/24/2008)
Question:
Sorry, I won't be in WA any time soon. thx for the request though. jandsnelson (9/24/2008)
Response:
OK; (9/25/2008)
Question:
Thank you for your bid request. Will you be able to crate each snowmobile? We can only take if they are crated with the skis and windshields detached. (9/25/2008)
Response:
Yes, they will be crated. (9/25/2008)
Question:
Dear Shipper, I think we may be able to assist you in this move. If you can put your items on a $10 pallet, wrap it, we can ship for at least 30%-50% less then other quotes you may have received. This may mean a little extra work, but the monetary saving is far greater. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us. Thanks! (9/29/2008)
Response:
Right now the plan is to put the machines in crates (new snowmobile crates reused). The guy I am buying this from is willing to do that. I have a current quote outside of this forum from a reputable motorcycle shipper for $550. This is for a terminal to terminal drop. (10/1/2008)
Question:
Hello shipper, lets talk about what we can do here if you are ready to ship mid next week. I will place a bid if you respond to this. (10/4/2008)
Response:
Hi. I just got back from a trip to Seattle and opened your question. These are antique / vintage snowmobiles and I am looking to have them in an enclosed trailer or at least totally crated. The guy I am buying these off of is supposed to be getting the crates on Wednesday. What is the situation with your schedule? (10/6/2008)
Response:
I only have open trailer. Thank you for your response. Good luck with your listing. (10/6/2008)
Response:
no problem (10/15/2008)
Question:
if they are on pallets and will fit side by side in 100inch semi van i can pu mon or tues will need loading dock forklift both ends can do for 600 (10/9/2008)
Response:
Yes they are going on pallets and are being boxed. The seller is doing that work for me. However, I do not think he has access to a forklift and neither do I at the recieving end. I don't think we're going to be coordinated enough for Mon/Tue. though because he just got the pallets on Wednesday. (10/10/2008)
Question:
you requested me to bid? this is approx a month old. what's the problem? you have bidders, price is reasonable? (10/16/2008)
Response:
This is a first time purchase for me. I am learning as I go. My preference is to get this shipped in an enclosed trailer if possible. I have a couple of quotes but for exposed trailers. These machines are now crated. (10/16/2008)
Response:
Enclosed is more expensive, I could do this for $1250.00 (10/16/2008)
Response:
OK ... thanks ... I needed to make this happen for the $750 range to make this a viable deal overall with what I am paying for the snowmobiles. Thanks for answering my inquiry. (10/16/2008)
Response:
it's all about floor space, and what I can sell that space for. I can get $650 x 2 for that space anytime going to NH/VT/MAINE. That's what your dealing with Especially in winter (10/16/2008)
Response:
I understand. (10/16/2008)
