Question: Hello Shipper. Thank you for the request. I have a shipment to deliver in your pickup area around Sept. 3rd. If that type of time frame will work for you, I can transport your 1971 C10 Pickup in an enclosed trailer fully insured at no extra charge with proper strapping and e-track tie downs handled only by me, not a broker, we specialize in enclosed trailer special care shipments. Response: I'm willing to consider fees of $1,000 or less. There's another broker promising me $1,019 so it's not unreasonable to hope for that amount paid directly to a carrier, I think. (8/21/2007)

Response: Sorry! I accepted a bid from another carrier. It's contingent on them lining up other vehicles to be delivered in the area so, should their other bids fall through, I'll keep you in mind. (8/22/2007)
Question: Shipper: I'm a Missouri based carrier located about 30 miles from your pick up point. My next trip west is scheduled for departure the second week of September. I presently have an open space on a 2-3 car low deck hauler. I can deliver to St. George or Las Vegas for $998.93 all inclusive of insurance and all other transport related charges. Coverage by my commercial cargo insurance is included in the bid price. Delivery would be 4-7 days after loading. Please review my profile where you can obtain my DOT & MC numbers. You can verify my credentials and insurance by plugging in my numbers at the government web site also contained in my profile information. My payment terms would be cash at delivery. Response: Thanks again....I can pick up tomorrow or any day between now and Labor Day weekend. It could be stored here at my place in my secure, fenced, lighted compound that is monitored with security cameras from my house. I will be departing west a day or two after Labor Day weekend so delivery would be about 4-7 days after that. Just let me know if you feel you want to go that way and I'll make the formal bid. Question: Shipper: Just a suggestion, but if you already have this contracted you may want to change it from a "Book It Now". If someone books it via the BIN you'll immediately get charged a deposit on your credit card. The only way you will get it back is if the service provider agrees to a cancellation.......and he/she might not. With the "Book It Now" function you don't have a choice, it will be automatically accepted for you. Not trying to be a smarta**, but you could lose some money if you don't change it. Response: Thanks, I had it under contract with another carrier but they were unable to line up additional vehicles to complete a load. However, I followed your suggestion anyway because I DID contract with a broker. Assuming they can find a carrier, I thought your suggestion made sense. (8/26/2007)

Question: HI, I just go to thinking if you wanted to get this truck sooner, I can have a truck in Missouri within 3 or 4 days to pick up and have it delivered to here in Vegas, where you could come pick it up as you mentioned in the ad. If this is still an option please let me know and I will make the calls tomorrow to set it up. We require 50 percent up front and the remainder is due prior to off loading you beauty. My best friend had a 71' with two tone looser blue and white paint. I loved that truck! Hope to hear from you soon. (8/29/2007)
