Additional Information: I have yet another Amphicar that needs to be delivered from Cleveland to north of Denver. It does not run (Brakes and tires are good). There will be help loading it and unloading (a winch would be helpful. We as for as much notice as possible for pickup time as the man is a firefighter with odd schedules that can not be changed with ease. Over or through the wheel straps are required due to the design of the suspension.

I have had 3 (not related to this site) transporters make dates and not show up. I need somebody who will give me a reasonable price (not $3000 as one man quoted) and do what they say. I turned down 2 good deals (one thru here and one outside of uShip) based on other transporters who comitted to the job and then never showed up.

One photo is of it today and the other is of it in 1966.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: I can pick this up for you the 1st of Sept. and deliver to you in CO a couple days later. This is on a personal 2 car trailer and I always use wheel straps. $850 total. I need to know ASAP as I have other bids out. Rick (8/14/2006)
Response: I have a bid at $600 now from a national carrier but w/o a secure date. See what you can do to better your offer. For a cheaper rate, I can work around the timing. (8/14/2006)
Question: $850 with a secure pick up and delivery dates, or $600 with a national carrier and whenever, maybe if they can do it, usually at least 10 days or so! I know everyone wants the best price, but you get what you pay for. Rick (8/14/2006)
Response: This car is a keeper for me personally and it will take me 18+ months to restore (once I finish the current project) so I have time. My priority is the costs involved. If you get close to your drop dead date and still need a car to fill the spot, feel free to contact me with an offer. Your time is appreciated. - John (8/15/2006)
Question: If you can get a car moved for $.44/mile you better jump on it. Feul in Denver was $3.62 last week. (8/22/2006)
Response: I have never seen fuel anywhere for $3.62. I just filled up for $3.19 in Denver. The problem is getting the shippers to follow through. I have one guy who has promised me he'll pick it up but never calls or shows. (8/22/2006)
Question: i cando this for you on the 28th or sooner for pickup and deliver asap for $1300 cash on delivery. this will be a firm date if you want to ship it thanks wilie (8/24/2006)
Response: A sincere Thank you for your time Wilie! Your quote is too high. I have others outside of this forum considerably less (by 40%+). No secure date yet, time is what I have, money is the priority at this time. (8/24/2006)
