Question: When is the earliest That this could be p/u? Thanks Terry. (7/25/2008)

Response: I believe any time. I am in no hurry, so let me know.
Jeff (7/26/2008)

Response: Do you have a target price? Thanks Terry. (7/27/2008)

Response: Around $300.00 (7/27/2008)

Response: I know this is a small bike, but do to the high fuel prices, miles from A to B, and those darn bridge tolls over to Long Island we would need $495.00 to do this transaction. Thanks for your time, Terry. (7/27/2008)

Response: Would you be willing to deliver the bike for $400? Also, what is your time frame for pickup and delivery? Thanks! (7/27/2008)

Response: The toll roads and bridge fees will be close to $100.00, I couldn't do this for under $550.00. Thanks for your time , Terry. (7/27/2008)

Response: $550 or $495? In your previous message you said $495 would be your price. If you would go for $495, when would you need to pick up the bike and approximately your deliver time?
Thanks. (7/28/2008)

Response: It would have to $550.00 because Long Island is such a pain in the a$$, ever other main road is a PARKWAY and comercial vehicles cannot travel on these roads, I would have to take the long way around and would spend about $100.00 in bridge tolls. I don't have any other frieght going over to help defer the cost. Sorry. (7/28/2008)

Response: Sounds like Long Island is not really friendly for driving. I understand the $550.00. When could you pickup the bike in Long Island and deliver to Colorado? I am in no hurry, but if interested in the delivery, please let me know and put in an official bid. Thanks!
Jeff (7/29/2008)

Response: I really hate going out there and only drive through there at l. night and could p/u this up within the next 10 to 14 days and deliver within 7 to 10 days after p/u. If this would work for you let me know. Thanks Terry. (7/30/2008)

Response: Were you still interested in shipping the bike to Colorado? Please let me know if your offer of $550 is still available.
Thanks,
Jeff (7/31/2008)

Response: Thanks for your patience, I would be able to do it for that price but would need a couple of weeks for p/u and delivery? Thanks Terry. (8/1/2008)

Response: Terry,
I don't know if I responded to this email or not, but I am willing to wait. SO just let me know closer to the day so I can make arrangements with the seller. THanks!
Jeff (8/4/2008)

Response: I will be in your p/u area within the next 7 to 10 days for p/u and could deliver within 7 to 10 days, if this will work I will submit a bid. Thanks Terry. (8/4/2008)

Response: Terry,
Are you still interested in shipping the Ducati from Long Island to Colorado for the $550? Please let me know and submit a bid. I will accept and wait to hear from you.
Best regards,
Jeff (8/10/2008)

Question: Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure bike to suitable skid / long pallet or OEM like crate base so as to be acceptable for common carrier service? ... THX (7/31/2008)

Response: I spoke to the shipper and he said he could pallet, but at my expense. I am open to this, but depends upon shipping price and timing. (8/2/2008)

Response: understand and here's a suggestion given what you said ... local bike dealers often have used / salvaged OEM crate bases which may be acquired or most will even pickup locally and “palletize” or crate the bike properly for shipment albeit for a fee but they are well versed in this need ... drop shipping to another dealer is good too as they can “de-crate” the bike & may even give you some credit back for the crate base? ... this would also offset common carrier accessorial charges as bike would then be coming from (or going to) business type locations instead of residential to residential ... just an idea ... let me know which one of these might be a doable option & can then bid to suit ... THX (8/1/2008)

Response: I will have he take a look for a used crate. (8/2/2008)

Question: FYI: would budget $900 as Residential to Residential with liftgate for both ends, a long pallet or shipping skid if made up, must be sufficiently large / long enough so as to accommodate bike as placed & secured with no overhang ... often (2)standard 4-way pallets “strong backed” together as one will work with (4)ratchet tie down straps cross fastened to bike being anchored to pallet stringers with sufficient tension to compress bike's suspension so as to maintain constant resistance tension during transit and terminal handling ... bike to be on center stand if fitted or weight bearing center frame stabilizing brace set up ... fuel to be drained down / gas free & battery (if applicable) disconnected ... any additional parts or accessories to be boxed up & secured to same pallet ... let me know if doable by the shipper as a common carrier doesn’t do this & will then consider ... THX (8/1/2008)

Response: I don't know if $900 is the price I am willing to ship this bike. That is almost what I am paying for it. Bike does have a center stand and is free of fule and battery. (8/2/2008)

Response: understand ... and for costing, if you could go from say a "dealer to a dealer", both ends with loading dock or forklift and have originating dealer "palletize" bike to make it accpetable for shipment by common carrier, then would budget $525 for this shipping it this way / option ... might this would be doable? (8/2/2008)

Response: I am unable to have the bike put on a pallet. (8/4/2008)

Response: Understand & your reply is appreciated ... However, will have to pass for common carrier type service as this item would not be accepted as a "roller" ... THX (8/4/2008)

Response: No problem. Thanks for the effort. (8/5/2008)
