Additional Information: The six cylinder engine for the car will be on a pallet that needs to be shipped along with the car. The pallet also has an old 3 speed manual transmission on it. Since this car does not have its engine in it, the car would most likely need to be hauled on a flat bed semi. A roll-back tow truck would have to be called in Bridgeport, Texas (or nearby) to load the car onto the flat bed semi. The ex-owner of the car (in Bridgeport) has a way to lift the pallet (with engine and trans on it) onto your semi flat bed. In Tucson, another tow company would have to be called to take the car and pallet off of the semi and then transport the car and pallet onto my driveway. I could pay the roll back tow truck fees on the spot over the phone if necessary. Are you interested in a hauling job like this ? Report a Violation

Response: Yes, the car rolls. The car has no engine in it, but does have a manual transmission hanging in place. The engine (6 cylinder laying on its side) and another manual transmission are on a small pallet that I hope can go along on the trip to Tucson. The gentleman who sold the car to me has a way to lift the pallet onto a flat bed semi trailer. The car would probably have to lifted onto a flat bed semi with a roll back tow truck. Response: i have a 42 foot enclosed trailer that i can winch your car onto .and also take the transmition .you think this will work? (11/20/2009)
Response: It sounds like it should, as long as the trailer has some way to hold the car down to the floor of the trailer and some way to tie down the pallet. (11/20/2009)

Response: I saw your offer for $900. Would you need to call a tow truck at any time or can you just roll the car in and out of your trailer using a winch ? I am assuming that your trailer is fairly low to the ground. Without a way to lift the pallet off of the trailer at the delivery site (Tucson), can you just use a come-along or something to pull the pallet out of the trailer? Thanks, Chris (11/22/2009)
Response: no, we dont need a tow truck i can winch it up the trailer ..i can place the transmition on a heavy cart that i have to roll it in and out of trailer. (11/23/2009)

Response: The trunk is full of car parts and I don't think the transmission could go on the seats without messing up the seats. The vinyl upholstery is still pretty good in this car and I don't want to rip it. I wonder it the transmission could just stay on the pallet with the engine (6 cylinder laying on its side) or could the engine stay on the pallet and the transmission go on the floor of the trailer near a side wall, roped down? If this sounds like it might work, please let me know. Would you consider doing this for $900 ? I have another offer of $900 but you responded first. I don't believe you have officially made a bid for this work ? - other offers have the job cost in a different format than stating the job cost in an email. Thanks, Chris (11/22/2009)
