Question: Hope to work with you soon. I could probably do this End of March but do not know. I know thats a long ways off. Thanks, Javan (1/19/2007)
Response: I'm hoping to get a date sooner than March, and I need to update my listing to add my picture. In order to do this I need to decline all bids. Please rebid once I have updated the listing with the picture. (1/19/2007)

Response: Yes I'm hoping to get it to original over time...If you have any pictures of your father's I would love to see them. (1/21/2007)
Question: Thanks for request but i do not have anything going in that direction for quite a while. Good luck. (1/20/2007)
Question: Thanks for the bid request, but my trailer just won't safely handle that size truck. What a fun haul that would be. Jim "fearlessfossil" JAL (1/20/2007)
Question: Thank you for the bid request, unfortunately I can only haul "towables" as I have no trailer. (1/20/2007)
Question: we have parked our enclosed for the time being, we are only running the open trailers for now. (1/20/2007)
Question: Thank you for your request but I wont be in that are for a while! I have hauled several of these old trucks and COE through the years since I mainly haul classics and projects and you are going to need a pretty big enclosed trailer for this one to fit into! Just wanted to let you know! Also make sure you go with a hauler that has his federal USDOT#s and MC #s if not they are operating illegal!! Thank you again for your request! (1/21/2007)
Question: Whoops, my response to your question on my bid was cut off. The rest of it was that I expect to be able to pick it up within two weeks at the latest, and for payment I will take cash or money order upon delivery, a personal check mailed prior to pickup for the full amount (to make sure it clears), half at pickup, remainder on delivery, etc. Full payment on delivery, sometimes with a small deposit prior to pickup is the usual method, but a full payment prior to pickup definitely makes the transporter's life easier! However, it's a matter of trust. Whichever suits you best is fine. Thanks! - Pantown Classic Transport (1/21/2007)
Question: HI, DO YOU KNOW IF THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH ARE EXACT? I'M TRYING TO SEE IF THIS WILL FIT IN MY ENCLOSED TRAILER. IF THE MEASUREMENTS ARE RIGHT, IT WILL FIT. I ALSO HAVE OPEN TRAILERS, BUT PREFER TO SHIP ALL CARGO ENCLOSED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. THAT WIND BLOWN SALT FROM THE ROADS GETS INTO EVERYTHING ON THE CARGO IF NOT. THANK YOU (1/21/2007)
Response: The man I purchased the truck did the measurements so I believe they are accurate: Length 198”, width 72”, height 78”. I tried calling him this weekend but didn’t get an answer. I will try again on Monday…and verify the size. He didn’t have a method to weigh the truck and he guessed 4,000lbs and I added 1,000lbs for a total of 5000lbs. If it weighs more than that, can your equipment handle it? There are also loose parts that will be accompanying the truck. The guy I’m buying the truck from is going to secure them to the truck within the above dimensions. (Just wanted you to know.) Would you please re-post your same question after reading this response, so I have something to reply to once I verify the measurements? Thanks for the message. (1/21/2007)
Question: THANK YOU FOR THE REQUEST BUT WE DO NOT HAVE A LARGE ENOUGH INCLOSED FOR THIS HAUL GOOD LUCK PMEXPRESS. (1/21/2007)
Question: How are we doing on this load? Thanks, Javan (1/21/2007)
Question: i wish i could send u pics, but uship doesn't allow and i can't give u my email address or they will flag me;;;(but i know u will do that old gal right and restore her to her youngness again------:) (1/21/2007)
Question: Thank you for the request for a bid. I'm interested in your shipment and will continue to watch it. I have enclosed equipment that can handle the dimensions and weight you've detailed, however I'm not sure those are correct, especially the width. At the moment I'll decline your invitation to bid but continue to watch until you've posted actual known measurements. Thank you // Don (1/22/2007)
Response: I called the man that sold me the truck and he said that the measurements posted are correct. (1/22/2007)
Question: Thank you for your request but not in your area at this time, CIndy ROllen Hills (1/22/2007)
Question: Thank you for the information. If the dimensions are correct, I would have not problem transporting it enclosed. Do you have a preferred time frame? The reason I ask is that I have a delivery to Vermont approximately mid February. My idea was that perhaps I could pick it up on my way back across. Anyway, if you'll give me some idea if that time frame would work, I'll calculate a bid. I surely can't promise that I'll be the lowest offer, but I am a fully insured, legally licensed, and US DOT compliant motor carrier. Frequently it is difficult to compete on a price only determined decision since many on this site do not have the same overhead costs. Especially those hauling interstate without appropriate authority. Very likely that is where your lowest bid will come from but that is certainly your decision. Thank you for getting back to me promptly and I'll review my calendar and get back to you within a couple of days. Thank you // Don (1/22/2007)
Response: Anytime the truck is ready to go…the sooner the better. (1/25/2007)
Question: thanks for the bid request,we won't be in that area for quite awhile ,,,good luck with such a cool truck ,,,,gmc for ever (1/23/2007)
Question: again you have requested z bid, and again i say we have parked the enclosed units until further notice (1/24/2007)
