Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I answered your question about your shipment but I'm not sure you got it. Please acknowledge here if you recieved the answer. Dave, (r4r) (3/1/2008)
Response:
I got your answer and yes the car runs fine. (3/1/2008)
Response:
OK, if you are interested let me know. FYI, r4r is an acronym for rides4rides. I have been in business for a while but I am relatively new to uship. If you go to my profile there are pictures of my equipment. I have yet to contract a bid through uship so I am not sure about the contact process after a bid is accepted. I imagine somewhere along the line we will be provide access to contact information to make specific arrangements if you accept the bid. Thanks for your interest. Dave, (r4r) (3/1/2008)
Response:
If you re-bid the same amount I'll accept. This is what I need. Thanks (3/2/2008)
Response:
I just got an e-mail from you through Uship asking what I am pulling with and the length of the trailer. I am pulling with an F-350 Crew Cab 4WD Turbo Diesel. The trailer is new and it has 24 feet of interior length and is 28 feet overall It has a side escape door for getting out of the driver's side of the car and it was custom built with extra height to acomodate trucks, full size vans, SUVs and cars like yours. It has independant torsion suspension and will haul in excess of 6000 pounds. Go to my profile to see pictures of my equipment. Dave, (r4r) (3/2/2008)
Question:
I have taken a close look at the roads on the detailed map to the place of pick up for this car. I would need some verification of raod coditions and size. the rig is fifty plus feet and it takes a lot of space to get turned around. It may be necessary for the car to be driven to a decent place to load. Wthe rig length, the door rasmp amd the car it would take about eighty feet of straight line space toload this car. I will do some more checking on my end to check these conditions. I live about one hundred miles from where this car is. (3/1/2008)
Question:
Car is fine where it is for loading, my price is $700 with 2-3 day delivery, interested?? respond (3/1/2008)
Response:
I'm interested but truthfully the price is at the top of what I was wanting to pay. I'm trying to decide if I want to let a few others bid to see what happens. You haven't actually bid yet, right? (3/1/2008)
Question:
Thank you for your interest and a request for re-submission of my bid. The bid I gave you is actually a bargain given the cost of fuel. It would have been higher than that if it had not been for another job have that is about 200 miles from Nashville. I specialize in the enclosed transport of pristine, classic, custom and high end vehicles. A car like the one you want to transport should not be hauled on an open trailer subjected to damage from road debris and other hazards. I maintain first class equipment. The cost of operation combined with the rising cost of diesel fuel is just too high to possibly give you a lower bid. Dave, (r4r) (3/2/2008)
Response:
If you re-bid I'll accept it. But the car probably won't be ready to pick up until Friday at the earliest. (3/2/2008)
Response:
I re-submitted the bid as requested. When you declined the bid I picked up another job and it will have to be around the 11th or 12th when I can pick up your car. Thanks. Dave, (r4r) (3/2/2008)
Response:
Are you sure you will be able to pick up on these dates (11th or 12th). Bruce (3/3/2008)
Response:
Yes that is a good date. The only thing that would cause a problem is extremely bad weather. I say that because it is possible to get severe snow storms here to the end of March. The area your car is in can be really bad when it snows. I'm sure you are as concerned about the care and safety of your car as much as I am about my equipment. I have a run to AZ that I have to be back here for by the following Monday so I pretty much have to do your run by the 10th or 11th. Dave, (r4r) (3/3/2008)
Response:
OK great I will go ahead and accept your bid. This is my first time with Uship so do I make a deposit and then just pay you the rest of the balance when you arrive with the car.? (3/3/2008)
Response:
My first time too. I assume that you will be guided through the process. Before now my work has come to me by word of mouth and through my websites. I assume that once you accept the bid we will be provided contact information so we can make specific arrangements (3/3/2008)
Response:
OK I'll go ahead and go through the process and see what happens. (3/3/2008)
Response:
OK, I'll be waiting to see what kind of notice they give me. Thanks. Dave, (r4r) (3/3/2008)
Question:
Shipper, should I assume you are looking for enclosed transport for this ? (3/2/2008)
Response:
What can you do this for with an enclosed trailer? (3/2/2008)
Response:
Sorry I do not have an enclosed trailer that is capable of auto transport. I have an open two car trailer I would have to use for this. Best I could do for you would be a tarp over the vehicle. (3/2/2008)
Response:
Thanks (3/2/2008)
Question:
Just wondering if you are having some difficulty with the process of accepting the bid? Dave, (r4r) (3/4/2008)
Response:
I just finished the process, let me know if it worked on your end. Thanks, Bruce (3/4/2008)
