Response: The boat should be ready in a week or so. I'm just trying to figure out how to pay for it without physically being there to take ownership of it. The total distance from Springfield, MO to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Mapquest.com is 2,458 miles. The distance from the Norton, Vermont border crossing to Happy Valley is 1,161 miles. Question: I could deliver the boat to Charlesbourg or Quebec city for $1800.00 total and I have an account setup with paypal where I can send you an invoice and you can pay it online I very seldom ever get to meet the customer because the deliverys are made somewhere besides where they are. Response: If I can get the boat seller to agree to an escrow payment, I think this could work. I have to pay taxes and fees at the Border. Would I pay you and have you pay Canada Border Services? (9/18/2007)

Response: Sure I could do that, I'll have to have all ness. info and what it cost but that would be no problem, do I need to go ahead and make my bid formal? Response: Hi Terry, I spoke with Canadian Customs and it looks like I need to use a customs broker. I will contact a broker today and see how quickly I can get the paperwork taken care of. If everything can get done before the middle of next week, I would likely accept your bid. I am hesitant to enter into anything legally binding until I know everything else has been taken care of. Response: Rob, Chris here. My bid is for pick up here in Springfield, MO to Norton, Vermont. Most client's or their representative meet me at the transfer location and take the boat across the border themselves. Once you accept my bid, I have other Canadian client's I could link you up with to explain/expedite the process. It's not that difficult once you acuire the proper forms and such. Response: Hi Terry, If all goes well, the boat could be ready for pick up in Springfield on Tues. Sept. 25 or shortly thereafter. I'll send you an update when the sale has been completed and documentation has been sent to the Customs Broker. When we get to that point, the customs broker would need to know which border crossing you intend to use. We should be able to formalize your bid by Monday at the latest. Question: To answer your quetion about where I will be crossing the border I will be coming across on I-69 IT changes to hwy 402 at the border which is just north of Port Huron I will go ahead and make my bid formal and we can go from there i will be ready when you are even if you get payment on the boat and the papers at hte border aren't ready it will take me a day to get that far (9/22/2007)
